All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Sorry, too much other stuff that distracts, had to look hard to see what you were talking about.

Now, ... black or polished? Whichever one makes it QUIET.

Too loud yes, this bike isn't a Harley. It has been proven through many studies that loud pipes save lives mate. If other road users can hear you they are less likely to merge on top of you.

many studies? let's see 'em.

(SCREW those electric bikes then! :) )

My apologies, those so called studies have now been found untrue, the science just isn't there to prove that loud pipes actually save lives.

Thanks to those who've offered their opinion on the pipes.

we know where you pulled 'many studies' from.

Go down to your local fire station, talk to the guys and gals there. Ask them if anyone ever pulls out in front of them. Not only are the trucks (and ambulances) MUCH larger than a bike, they have sirens, lights and air horns, yet people pull out in front of them all the time.

If you think a loud "putt, putt" or a 4-into-1 "snarl" directed to the BACK of the bike will warn people IN FRONT of you, enjoy it while you can. Maybe it's a "down under" thing that also reverses "front/back".

Fortunately, you will not be going by my doghouse any time soon, so I'll enjoy my peace and quiet here.

How odd would it be to see that type of bike with quiet pipes?? Wouldn't be right at all...

"Loud pipes" only startle drivers when they are alongside. And leave behind a cloud of people muttering "WHAT an a-hole".

Buahahahahaha!

I like the top one with the chrome tip pipe that's on the bottom.

Don't let the grannies here put you off, not all of us hate loud pipes. I don't think they save lives, but knuckling under to the pinch faced scolds that like to kill all fun is never a good idea.

EDIT - I realized after this could be taken the wrong way. I did not mean the people here advocating for stock pipes, I meant the busybodies who complain to their city hall about noisy vehicles and want to trample on other people's enjoyment of life.

As far as the pipes, I like the all black.
