A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hear are a few pictures of my ride, a '78 GS1000E. Now that it's painted It's showing up all the rest of the things that need doing, but at least it runs great and I'll be able to log in a lot of ride time this season.:D

Luggage rack, different exhaust, different mirrors, different grips, different color paint, tassels, etc.

Don't those items warrant A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MODEL, if it was a Harley? :p

How much more "Custom" do you want to get?

Here's my 1980 Suzuki GS450L. Old picture but all it needs is paint and a seat pad.

Not much has been done to it. It has a 1979 Suzuki GS400 gas tank, cafe seat, painted rims, and crappy air filters . I will get K&N filters as soon as I get a 2-1 exhaust along with the correct jets.

The 450s make some of the sweetest cafes. Looking good.

Thanks! I will also ditch the side covers since they don't line up with the seat. Later, I'll get a new AGM battery and put that under the seat hump. Then I'll make a small metal box for the electronics to hide under the seat pan. I will post another pic when it's all done :).

is it possible to fit this type of rear fender on a 78 GS750?

It looks like an L model fender and brake/tag light/mount.
Why not?
Of course, you would have to prep the chrome for paint and paint it to match your bike's color.

BTW, that bike looks FANTASTIC!

An L fender will bolt right on, with a little drilling in the frame. See my 550. I cut off the ends of the frame and used an aftermarket taillight, which is much smaller and sleeker than the stock L assembly.

coll, thank you guys:-) i think that looks cleaner then the 78's tail, yeah, ill be sendblasting the chrome and matching the paint to the rest of my bike:-) I'm not a big fan of chrome on fenders ;)

Whoa!

That is one short exhaust on that 850!

How's it run?

Also welcome to the forum
