A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I've probably posted this before, but here is my nearly complete '82 1100EZ...

Since this was taken, I decided to replace the original wiring harness and also replaced the factory original stator with kit from Rick's. Also a new starter solenoid from Rick's. The R/R was replaced with an SH775 series type from a Polaris.

The running gear is from a 2001 Bandit 1200. Still need to install the wiring harness and get some spacing sorted out for the rear rim and I am going to re route the oil cooler lines as well and generally clean things up.

There really are some great looking bikes here...

By running gear you mean swing arm, etc.?

Well, in my case it means everything except the swing arm. Swing arm is stock :)

The top triple is a piece from Spiegler for an 89 GSXR 750 & the bottom triple & steering neck are stock
89 GSXR750 pieces.

Wheels, forks, rotors, front MC and calipers and the rear caliper are all Bandit.

Yours is one of them.

I also have an '82 1100e with an oil cooler. I can't tell from the pic, don't your oil cooler lines go straight down to the two bolts on the sides of the oil filter over?

Thanks, Rob.

Yes, the lines do go straight down to the oil filter cover (an 1150 cover). I am going to get slightly longer lines and run them behind the cooler, or I may try to get an adapter to run them back to the port on the back of the motor where the oil pressure switch & temp sensor are located.

Well I guess my 1100 might qualify now...
I bought the bike pretty close to stock..this is what I have done so far...

Superbike bars
SS braided lines
Lockhart oil cooler
Powder coated rims
V&H 4-1
dyno stage 1 jet kit
Marzocchi rear shocks
Sonic fork springs
Perilli Sport Demons
