A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Any new information on these shocks? I'm really wanting to redo the whole suspension on my bike and these seem like a good place to start.

Lately I've heard of a number of companies going under because of unexpected growth. They couldn't keep up with demand. So, Brian, market research IS key.
Put me down for a pair on my 79 GS 1000E. Black of course.

prototypes are done and are being tested as we speak.......\\:D/

I'll beta test them for you....free of charge! :-D

Seriously, just waiting to pull the trigger on some shocks...hoping your product is the one for me.

I will be in for a pair also Brian. My 1983 GS1100GL has the originals and one is leaking! Sounds like you have a pretty good list of poeple ready to buy. That is a good problem for any new business. Good luck.

Hmph.

I bought a set of Redwing STC shocks to hold me over until I could try these (or Progressive) but i've had such a bad time with these shocks I need to bring this up.

Brian, please double and triple check your tolerances on the clevis and eye-bolt mounts. Below you'll see why this is critical!

Original Suzuki shock lower (clevis mount):

Redwing STC shock - will not fit!

The above is SUPER frustrating. I reinstalled my original shocks as a result.

It looks like the inside piece of the clevis is tweaked. Can you bend it in?

That thing is bent.I don't know if tweaking it will affect the strength of the clevis.

The pressing is out of tolerance. I'd send it back, it really needs more width in the middle from the look of it so tweaking it would always be a bodge :(

Yeah, the shocks are going back - they're not wide enough at the clevis.

Guess this means I'm waiting for an update from Brian on the prototype testing!

My Skunk is ready for a set. It will be the finishing touch and the last thing I need for it. I'll need a set for my new project, too!

Brian,
I have emailed you a few times about current production shocks and you have not responded. Any chance I could get an update?
