A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Riding Game

This is definatly a bridge, a railroad swing bridge, over a river.
Tag is a swing bridge. Not a turnabout.

I dont know if this one can swivel 180 degrees, or just if 90 degrees and back. But eiter way, it is a bridge foremost.

.

Good job putting the boat tag to rest. Could be a challenge to find the turning bridge too. ;) Now off to see if I can Google one in NH.....:-k

I think you will find them called "Swing Bridge". And maybe in Railroad fanatic sites.

If the game goes on with no find past next weekend, I have a backup in mind: "bascule bridge".

So I discovered a few things today. And one of them was that my winter gloves and my riding pants (even with liner) are not up to the task of 35 degrees on cruiser bike with only small fairing.

Nice shot Andrew. Good thing I checked. I was just about to head out that way.

Thanks Garth, It looks like It will be nice tomorrow if you want to go for a ride. I think I'll wait until it's raining to work on the garage.

NEXT TAG.

Abandoned or derelict vehicle

Andrew...

what model/year is the bike you are using to get your tags?

500e? 2007?

That would be Carrie's bike, 2008 GS500E bought it in 2011 from a guy in Cultus Lake, it had 4km on it. Bought it road it around the trailer park.. He fell off a scaffold the next day at work.. sold the bike 3 years later. Carrie stayed clear of scaffold for a week after buying it.

Looks like everybody is either snowed in, or rained in. No excuses for Rick though. ;)
I've been too busy trying to figure out how I'm going to pay for school. I've got my '67 GTO, Olds Rocket engine and tranny on CL, and I might put up some of my project bikes on GSR and CL.

Plus, there just aren't any abandoned boats around here. They did a major clean up a couple of years ago after a few years of bad storms. Even where I go fishing at the coast they have been hauled out to deeper waters and sunk for structure. Abandoned vehicles are like graffiti, it's removed immediatly to preserve the clean family friendly image for tourists.

Thought that might get a nibble. When do you start school ?
January 7, if I can get everything taken care of. Going to talk to financial Monday and see what I need to at least get going. I qualified for a Pell grant, but that gets distributed through out the year or that's what I believe. Four classes at $4k a semester, smells like a student loans to me. Good thing is, if I don't screw it up, I'm pretty much garaunteed a job at the Hospital for around 55k. Which will be a considerable boost in income, and will help pay back the loans quickly.

ok derelict vehicle...I went out on the gixxer first then I came home and felt guilty not taking out my GS so took it out today too.:D
