A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Riding Game

I still like the game and for a few summers it was a major motivator for me to get out and ride, plus the fist summer I played, I was doing some night shifts so I could get out in the daylight.
The last couple of summers, it?s been more difficult to get out on my late night ventures, both from a schedule and a motivational perspective- I haven?t been staying up nearly as late as I have in the past.

I enjoyed the Riding Game for a while.
I liked the idea of thinking where could find something that fit the tag, and then riding there.
What eventually became troublesome for me was then being in a hurry to get home to be the first to post the pic (in competition with those that can post directly from there smart phone). It got to be that that out-weighed the fun. So stepped away.

I do like to step in here every once in a while to see what is going on.

.

I think part of my issue besides the time is the attitude that a picture can't be very hard. The game was originally designed get everyone out to ride in search of the tag not cater to one or two people who can quickly and easily get the tag. Oh well, it was fun

I figured keep it simple to possibly get things moving, plus its a long weekend. Two 1150s in the Game is just cool....
And a thought. If the Game ends does he who gets the last tag win?:p ( I dont want to win)

So If I've got the rules straight...

I see your low-light ice cream shop

and raise you a field of sunflowers

Boy, you're thorough Rich. Not just an ice cream shop but low light too.

This sunflower field sounds like a good one for the KLR. I have to level my laundry room floor real quick then I'll head out and see what I can find.

Yes, as noted lighting doesn?t matter, and the subject matter is sometimes up to creative interpretation.

For example, there was a snow tag, and Rick found a street named Snow...

Twice, the second time was fake snow on a building at Disney's Blizzard Beach water park.

Some minor "creative interpretation" was needed for this one too. I found a field with tiny sunflowers. Not sure what you guys feed those things up there but they're tiny here. With 70 different species of sunflowers, I'm pretty sure these little things are in there somewhere.

If the Game ends does he who gets the last tag win?:p ( I dont want to win)

I don't want to win either. Feeling pretty illegitimate with my tiny sunflower pic though, but that's the best I could do around here. If someone else has a better field with more sunflowery flowers, by George ride over and snap a pic. Or if that one I posted is ok, there's bound to be a few hardware stores the big box boys haven't starved out yet.

Nah, your good, Roger. I didn't get out anywhere this week. There's a family Hardware store near State College I'm gonna tag maybe this weekend unless someone else beats me to it.

Im cool with the sunflower interpretation as well. I actually wrapped up last weeks long weekend with a ride on Monday night intending to play. Frustratingly, with the exception of some non bike related pictures, all of my pictures came out out of focus.
The combination of my phone camera app and my aging eyes going to heck, scuttled my pictures.

Cool! Yeah I remember. Here they were called fox photo, one hour drive through film developing place.

Nice one Glen, that's a tough one. I'll have to give that some thought. I don't think we have any old fotomat kiosks still standing in the area. But maybe I'll find something similar. Been busy and not riding much. Just got back from a visit to Duquesne University with my older son.
