A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Riding Game

I had to get off the tracks before the next train could run me over, then I ate lunch, then I .....oh never mind, here's the next tag, a caboose. Retired or active but must still be on the tracks. No trendy converted cafes.

What the ....... Are you on vacay or something? I was looking forward to a grave yard ride. Well, there alway next time. Whats next?

Kinda of...an extended induced vacation due to our stellar economy under this Prez.

You can still ride the graveyards. Very peaceful places. Btw, my Bandit is packed up with groceries in those bags. Killed 2 birds and justifying my existence with menial tasks.

Caboose has been done to death, but we can do them over, I think we should be able to repeat tags as questioned before because we have new players whom may never have seen them before here, #1354, #1361, #2161, #2171, #2181, a couple more I think, as long as we don't use the same one used before...what do you think??
Lurch, does it have to be on used tracks, I know where a couple are used as giant yard ornaments...they have a section of track under them, not converted to anything.

edit;
don't read into this...it's only a question....having fun BCCap, I like to tease too.:twistedevil:

Unused track is fine. The game is going so long it's hard to come up with original material that's still obtainable. But I don't repeat the same object unless someone wants another rocket. One of the reasons I started the sunrise/sunset thread. Another reason to ride and take cool pics. But that hasn't really caught on yet.

My prayers go out for you and yours. Trust in the Lord, He still great things instore for this country. Keep the Faith.

I like your sunrise sunset thread, I plan on contributing to it soon, I think it was a great idea, and I'm sure it will continue.
I was thinking of starting a scavenger hunt thread, throw out a half a dozen items/places to be pictured with your bike, maybe make a contest somehow out of it.
Will the winner get an 1100/850gl as grand prize. oHIo might be a bit far to play a game. I'll need at least a day head start.

Ooh ooh ooh!

Scavenger hunts are a great idea.

Prize could be a GSR calendar/patch etc...

My baby is in a few pieces, so I'm out for a while. It's paint time. Still haven't fully decided on a color yet... :/

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Don't repaint the Jet. I love that fade.

Caboose, but not on usable railroad tracks, but a section of track and caboose was transplanted here, not a restaurant or other use, just a an ornament on a farm now. I'll wait to see if accepted before posting new tag.

As an added note, this property is along side the actual tracks and there used to be a station somewhere on the property.
Looks good to me, but it's not my call. I hope it is, I'm thinking of going on a night ride. I got the yard mowed and now I'm ready to mow down some miles. I picked up a cheap digital camera from a garage sale. Kodak EasyShare C140. Not sure how to up load, it didn't come with instructions. Guess I'll have to look it up.

We have a few candy factories around, but they are all over an hour away. That isn't going to happen tonight. I might go for one of them after church if the skies are cooperating. Chocolates to the west or citrus candies to the south.:-k

After a google search, we actually have one in Reno!
I will have to investigate. ;)
Yummy!

Eric

If chocolates qualify, then I've got a good one here. I'm going have to wait to find out if it qualifies though before posting a new tag.

This is actually the place I was looking for but couldn't find because the street was blocked off from the direction I was travelling. Actually, I was on the wrong block to start, and got snookered by a cul-de-sac.

So here is my tag. What do you think?

and this interesting feature in the "Choklit" Park:

Purdy's was founded in 1907 and moved into the facility in these pictures in 1982. This place always reminded me of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. The Steampunk contraption out front is/was a fountain, but I haven't seen it flowing in a long time.

Check the pipes, there could be a fat kid stuck in there.
Looks like a candy factory to me. Whats next?

It will be the rare adult in Vancouver, who didn't give a Box of Purdy's chocolates to their mother on Mother's Day, in their youth.;)

Yeah, half a day gone already. It's bad not being able to get a tag, but it's even worse when there is no tag to get.

Because the original paint is faded, and clear badly chiped, and just all out fried. Was going to wait until the winter tear down, but got my 2k a few weeks back and has been burning a hole in my mind ever since. So, she is apart and primed and waiting for me to decide on a color. I'm thinking silver, or the fail safe black. Before the end of the day she is going to have color.
