A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Mini golf from the south Pacific

Mini golf from the south Pacific

At last I am able to participate.
I have been beaten at posting a few photos in the past but now finally looks like I am getting one up before anyone else. Here's the car park sign for "Lilliputt Mini Golf " (got love that pun) here in Auckland.
Had a lovely midwinter ride today. Fairly typical auckland conditions- sprinkle of rain now and then but not enough to make the road wet, bit of wind, and a bit of sun - 4 seasons in one day as we say. Sun was getting a bit down by the time I was passing Lilliputt, hence the glare on the sign.

New tag - Yacht on at trailer

New tag - Yacht on at trailer

So, in another thread, in the Campfire area, we have been talking about small sailboats. I decided to swing by the marina and check out what boats were there. Found this small group of trailer keel boats.

May be a little hard for those not on the coast but let's see what happens. I have a couple of backup options if no one comes through in the next few days.

Good to see you in the game. Let it ride till next weekend. I can get it if no one else does.

Nice tag... will any small boat do? I'm sure I can come across something for sale on the side of the road this week. If not, the beach is not far from me... :)

Hey, don't know the fine print in the rules but I'm thinking it needs to be either a number of boats together or if a single it needs to have a stick for a sail:) How does that sound.

Well, I got this before reading Bills specifics....No matter anyway. 10 minutes after I took this, my wife who is helping run our churchs' VBS program this week called and needed something from home, so I rerouted my ride, and didnt get a next tag. Still got a decent ride in though.

I didnt have time to get one. Plus just 10 minutes ago I found a leaking fork seal.
Someone else will have to start over, or pick the next....

I also have an easier back up tag on hand if this one is too painful. I dont know how widespread bee keeping is....

Nope this one is fine... Loads of bee keeper's up this way. There pinacle for apple tree fertilization. Ill be headed out in a few hours to the local bee keepers.

Bees! Yeah there were some flying around, they have an active colony here at this location but allot of supplies for DIY-er Bee Keepers. This is Champlain Valley Honey here in Middlebury. Funny is you could throw a rock from here and hit my mother's house (where I grew up) from this shop.

Keep it LOCAL! Next Tag, signature food supplier or factory distinct to your state. I chose Cabot Cheese, in front of one of the factories where Cabot makes it's some of it's awesome products. Lucky for us here in VT Cabot is affordable and IMO the best cheese option in the grocery store. Especially Cheddar, my favorite is Seriously sharp! I only buy Cabot butter, sour cream, cheese (mostly for for cooking) and whip cream when I need to buy these products. Keep it local! that's how our Vermont businesses thrive, that and flat lander traffic :).

I'm sure someone will come through. The only thing I can think of around me, are Orange Juice plants. It will take a little ride as all of those close to me closed up years ago, there are many still around with 100 miles radius. It's just finding the time, which I wont have till next weekend.

We have a local candy maker, and a few wineries around....We were out all weekend. Took a trip to Washington D.C. to go to the National Zoo- My older son wanted to see the Pandas. Got home this evening. Feeling lazy, and tipping the wine jug, so no riding tonight.

Finally found a ferris wheel, mini golf and boat on a trailer. I'm surprised I got this one. Here's a food processing plant I came across today. These guys make bread, bagels and croissants.

I don't know if this one was ever done before, so... here it is. A sod farm.
