DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

OK, here's the gas pumps ( I didn't need gas) it's expensive at this little place anyway.

And here's the next tag, a boat launching ramp, this one is going into the Pine River, for which my town and zip code is from (but Pine River, MN actually resides on the shores of Norway Brook, go figure).

Lurch, I have a request for you. Could you size down your picts to 580-600 x whatever Photobucket or your hosting program picks out? It makes the thread much easier to load when the pictures aren't so huge.
Thanx!

BTW, is that you're 850GL under all that hardware? Is the trunk tilting back some? Did you swap the gas tank from a G?

I did change settings from large to medium awhile ago but I will try to down size the pics to small (640x480) next time, but I thought bigger pics make for more detail.;)
My cell phone pics are not coming out as good for quality but that usually is all I have when out riding.

I like the larger pic's myself.
Please keep them that size.

Actually, that is my 850GL, and the trunk tilts back a bit because the rack I have under it is the original Suzuki or dealer installed aftermarket rack with the backrest. I liked the lower mounted rack, and with all the morphing that I've done to the bike it got a slight downward tilt, and I left it like that. The gas tank is one I bought from a GSR member that had a bunch of tanks for sale (can't remember his screen name at the moment), and it's actually from a 650 according to Tkent. Due to the slightly shorter L frame, it would've been too much work to put the G tank on it. I gained a gallon with this one anyway.
thanks

Didn't think I'd get a shot at another tag before the salt goes down, but...

A boat launch...

And the next tag...a Nature Center...
nature_center.jpg

However...I will take a giant leaf sign as an alternative....:D

That Triumph looks too clean....needs some salt and dirt on it! Or do you have a winter beater bike?

Nope...once the salt hits the roads, all three bikes and the Miata are done until spring...
The CTS is my winter beater....:p

Niagara Falls...how about a waterfall[which i know has been done] or a tourist attraction.
My first time playing on probably the last ride of the year. I hope these both meet the rules.

I'll accept the tag, as I wasn't clear on the "nature center"...
A nature center, at least around here, has some kind of educational element built in...
I think you are close enough, Steve

Here's the link to the Red Oaks Nature Center

I think I know that spot your bike is parked...you're real close to the incline rail down to the tourist center, aren't ya...

Thanks for the leniency on the tag, Bob.
You are right on the cable car ride. I am about an 1/8 of a mile upstream.
Were you here recently?

With that nice CBX, any tag would be fine!;)

It's been about 7 years or so...my wife and I spent 4 days up there doing all the touristy stuff...
Stayed at the Oaks, overlooking the falls...had a great time, people were super nice...

if i would have known you were taking pictures i would've waved. we rode up to the falls the other day and were hanging out on goat island (which is the on the far side of the canadian falls in mr. murdoch's picture). i couldn't find anywhere to take a pic of bike and falls on the u.s. side though. that's a great shot. and a very purdy scoot too.

waterfall

waterfall

Not quite as majestic as Niagra but it was much colder riding today....

Maybe it's the cold weather that's slowing this game down, but those south of the equator should be getting warmer for riding! To expand the opportunities, I'll take a tag with a farmhouse overlooking the field now or the previous logging operation tag to motivate people. This was taken at the logging operation from another angle.

Either tag would normally have been fine for me to pick up on, but, we've had slick roads, just enough snow to make it dangerous, and single digit temps. If another relatively warm day (~30F) appears and my driveway and road aren't icy, I'll be out on the bike again. Otherwise, it looks like my riding season is coming to an end this year.

I am a new member and never played the game but it looks like fun and I'm in!! I have a original mint condition 1980 gs750e so I won't ride it in winter rain but have no problem in the cold as long as the roads are dry. Problem with the logging picture is that is up island for me where it is hovering around 0 and snow but I will try!
