A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Has anyone accomplished a more leaned over, sport bike riding stance.
I was thinking about adding some lower handlebars but am unsure if there are any that fit my bike.
I also am curious if there is a way to get the footpegs to sit a bit further back while retaining the brake lever and shift lever.

Thanks

A set of clip on bars for 37mm put on where the stock bars come off would accomplish that.Pegs are actually pretty close to being the same as a newer bike position.

I have K&N superbike bars and Raask rear sets on my es and I like the set-up very much. I don't use the bike for very long trips though. The pegs are a little high for an old guy like me!

So would clip ons require new, shorter lines and cables?

The ones I used weren't radically different from stock, so I was ok. The only adjustemnt mine required was the throttle cable. Turning the bars to full lock caused the revs to go up. Be sure to check that before your first go.

Nope... never seen anything like that before ;)

RF900 setup (whole front fork assy.) on mine, lower than stock and about as low without banging into the fuel tank.

'90-'94 cbr600 honda peg assys, I have them maybe 1 or 2 inches rearward but at the same height as stock, Due to me being kind of an almost old fart...

Might.I'm not sure as I quite like the EF's position.Just for reference I had an 06 SV650S before the EF,in the ergo site http://cycle-ergo.com/ the SV and GS had the same knee bend but the lean forward for the SV was 30 degrees and the EF was 18.I'm 54 now and the SV's lean was killing my wrists.

I took my longest ride today, only about an hour each way, about half of it is on the tollway and I hate how upright I sit especially at 75-80 so the clip ons are a go and the rear sets on kingofvenus's bike look interesting depending on how much fab work will be required.

Did you have that swingarm custom made?

While I would like to do a complete front end conversion from a GSXR, I do not have the money right now as I may be moving out of the parents place in a month but does anyone know if something along these lines will fit with minimal work. they look very similar in size and shape to the bottom part of the stock handlebars.

These are off a 2001 Katana.

Renthal has a ton of bars for modern naked bikes. most any bend you need in a variety of colors.

I have ordered the Katana mounts, hopefully they work. if not I am only out a couple bucks and I am going to do the GSXR fork swap this winter anyway.

I have all the info on the front end swap but have conflicting info for the rear wheel install. Bear in mind this is my first bike other than my xr100 so a totally new territory compared to cars.

Will something like this mount up with little to no modification? Unless someone has step by step specifics on another rear end that will work.
