A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Sunrise / Sunset Rides

Maybe one of these days I'll see another sunset on the bike. Right now it's -13F wind chill, with whiteout snow conditions near the Canadian border where I'm at.

Is spring time now.....

Back to my old habits.

Another Saturday evening ride.

Yep, went bye the beach at sunset again. Didnt hear any surfing music, although was the "Chile Blues" night (chilie cook off and BLues bands at some restraunts).

Those pictures look great Redman!

You've got an eye for sunset photography

Caught a nice sunrise over Eastern New Mexico this AM. Snow is finally gone around mountain roads.

I was hoping for a better vantage point but I missed it by a few minutes, I think. Anyway, this is about a mile from my house.

Why is it so hard to capture the beauty of a sunset in a picture? Sure wish I could paint.

Taken seconds later to the East. Sandia mountains in back and volcanoes in the fore ground. Stunning colors in the sky tonight.

Because cameras.... try setting the phone or camera on flash on (if it's not already) insted of auto. It will then provide some fill lighting on the bike. In auto it "sees" the brightness of the sky and turns off the flash.

Still nice shots regardless.

The early morning in summer is a great time to ride. Morning mist, less traffic, an occasional deer to avoid,....and the rising sun. Here are my pics from bright and early this morning. Sun casting it's light on an old graveyard in the woods and my classic bike...and older picture taker!

This stone from 1857. There are older ones but time has worn them away and made them unreadable. So much for $$ spent on posterity.

Another stop by the water.

Had a 5 hour ride last evening.
Stopped in Muskegon.
Sky had been great, but sun going behind clouds on the horizon by the time I got down there to the beach.

Then sun shown thru for just a minute.
Harley rider that also stopped offered to take my picture.

Another great pic, Glen. It's been hotter than an ifrit's balls here, so the bike's been garaged. I think tomorrow or Monday I will get out on it super early to get breakfast.

Thanks.
No kidding about early. The dog woke up around a quarter to six. By the time I took care of him and got out the sun was already well above the horizon.
