Hey man they went ok i suppose. Howboutyours? Im STILL waiting on stuff. Wont be here till tuesday. I did get some old school style fork gaitors for my bike yesterday...havent put them on yet

Better than usual. Family came to our house then us going to theirs. That and I spent some good bonding time with my ol' man.... Yeah and I'm waiting on stuff too. The sprocket isn't here yet. Not that its really holding me up. The rain is doing a fine job of that on its own. Plus just waiting on the bars from you and really that's all that's gone down. Mostly I've just been lazy these last few days. Taking a nice break from sh*t

Hey IronRiot if you find a place to get those toolbags for cheap let me know. The first think I baught for my bike was orginal suzukie tools for it and thought it would be cool to have it on the bike for long rides.

Well I was doing some looking around and found some toolbags here http://www.bikebandit.com/nav/packsbagsluggage?a=622688+635080 and here http://www.jcwhitney.com/Motorcycle-Tool-Windshield-Bags/600014597.jcw?Nao=20

It seems like JCwhitney has a larger selection and cheaper prices. Now I just got to get my saddle bags from my uncle so that I can match the toolbag to it.

Hey man hows it goin?.... Damn bikebandit's prices are ridiculous. Those tool bags cost more than my saddlebags. They probably very good quality and will last a long time but meh. I'm a cheap and poor bast@rd so cheap is a way of life for me

hehehehe Me too...Ive been cussing myself blue cos i keep wanting to purchase a new flip top gas cap cover for my tank from bike bandit, and its only like 40 bucks all total with the cover hardware and lock but part of me keeps saying, get the fvcker running right first, then worry bout the acoutrements.

Oi you still havent got those yet? Man they take forever..with as much as it cost i could have prolly overnighted it with USPS...fackers...Im also waiting for sh!T since before thanksgiving...taking their sweet arse time with it.

Yup I know that feeling also. Everytime I walk past something in a store I think to myself how much I want it but then I think again i need parts for the bike. Stupid bike hehe. The saddlebags were a splurge. They looked good and I had to get them

I haven't been up to much seeing how I've been trying to finish up some school projects seeing that it was the end of the querter. I didn't think bikebandits prices were that bad untill I went to JCwhitney whose price were about half the price and have twice the selection. Man TCK I've had the same thought but sometimes getting some to make it look better can make remind me why I want to get it running good.

Still tweaking the bondo for maximum smoothness...going ok..just frustrating cos im not a body guy..lol

Yeah it wasnt cheap...i found a place near here to get it for cheap tho..that whole roll cost me 20 bucks..Near 50 for that same roll at AutoZone/O'Reily's I need another 25 foot roll i think just to finish out around the collector, but i kinda like it not completely wrapped.

Both of those projects are the cats ass man. That tank is looking seriously wicked. Although I am wonder on how exactly do you sand the concave areas without burning to the metal?

by hand...lol.. I used a 380 grit i think to knock down the high spots, and then go from 400 to 1000 to get it nice and smooth. Been using some high build primer to fill in imperfections. Wont get em all but a few layers of primer and many layers of rattlecan ceramic black should take care of it. Nice hard finish too. That bondo gold sands a hell of alot easier than the regular stuff too. The compounds are tough..took a bit of experimenting to get the best way to coat em. And then spray primer to see what was bad...lots of going back and forth but i think its going to end up worth it.

Thanks man..its been a bit of hell cos i want to get this stuff on the damn bike but the weather has NOT been cooperative. Tomorrow im off however and its supposed to be sunny and kinda warm so im stoked. Gotta fix the cage first, but then its on to the bike. WOOOHOO! I just need to get the damn carbs synched, get my filter and baffle which is to be here tomorrow and im ready to go. BTW you will be getting your package tomorrow too if im correct...i got that damn tracking number ive been meaning to give you around here somewheres...

I'm inpatient so I would knock down the Bondo with 180 grit hehe. Made for some pretty deep scratches but you can even notice them with all the paint...... Sounds like the bike is coming along nicely. Mine has come to a stand still. The weather's been miserable but it should clear up by tomorrow so I'm gonna start to rock the sh!t out of the bike to finish. Everything is on its way and nothing is holding me up. Fvck I just remembered I needed to sand down a spacer that goes between the frame and engine. Was gonna do that today but I forgot

Ahh i got a bunch of wiring to do too. But I think Nelkyfan is going to give me a hand with that. Got a new killswitch/starter button to wire and a signal switch and gauges to wire in. BUT these things can wait, i can run her without that stuff, i just want to hear her running with the floats and jets set right. I hope i dont have to do a bunch of tweaking to the carb screws or the needle. Cross your fingers for the silver bullet...lmao

Allright brozeph...im off like a dress on prom night...gotta get crackin and wrenchin early since we have so short days anymore...Stupid daylight savings time. Its gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that...
