Trying to ID shocks that came on my 79 GS1000

I put this in my 'found on Craigslist' post but will put here in the right category.

These have the orientation upside down and an air (nitrogen?) valve on the 'top'. They have dabs of red and white paint on the top of the springs, possibly owner did that. I don't see any markings, will be removing for closer inspection soon.

They are leaking badly, and may be fit for the trash bin. But they may be some name brand and decent, springs seem a bit weedy though. Perhaps rebuildable, but seems like a long shot.

I am looking at these 'TEK' shocks and reading/watching some reviews.

Ed's usually right but if not Fox then Koni would be my second guess. Those TEK shocks are just the Cheapo RFY shocks by another name would be my guess.... Supposed to be "ok" if you get a set built on Monday morning or absolutely hopeless if you get a set assembled Saturday afternoon (yep they all work Saturday out in China.... )

I ran a set for a while. They were pretty stiff but otherwise ok, similar sort of level to a progressive from what I could tell.,

I looked closely and it's the Fox.

I have run Progressives on a few bikes including my 1100E and like them just fine. Got the right spring rate, now onto the front springs for that bike. Thanks.
