    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Twinpot Brake upgrade on 78 Skunk

Possible that the 1000 triples will bolt right up & have steerer stops, ignition etc in right place but maybe not....

You get a 37mm dia fork that way - also more weight. Any of them will allow you to keep your wire wheels & any front end will bolt up as far as bearings, it's the other bits that differ.

Brackets sets should be here sometime in Jan. Just waiting for delivery now... I could get them sooner but it would push the price up. :)

Please let me know when you have the brackets, I need a set for my GS1000, the stock brakes absolutely stink.

Much appreciated!

Much appreciated!

The CBR 600 F3 or F4 rotors work. Blackbird Rotors (CB1100X) rotors also work but they are a larger diameter (310mm).

There is a 320mm CBR900RR rotor that will also fit.

YOu might have to re-drill the holes or at the very least take them out from 6mm to 8mm depending on which ones you get.
Thank you mister.
can i use the stock gsxr calipers you think since i use the usd forks from the same bike?

I am expecting to receive them in a couple of weeks all going well... They should be in the middle of the Pacific about now if my info is correct.

:)

Please pm me when they come in. I definitely want a set before spring.

I am also very keen, although I would like only the brackets if that can be done. Very easy for me to get the bolts over here is Aus.

I don't mess around with bolts anymore... mostly because you can use the stockers with blue loctite with the steel brackets :)

I can't wait!

I can't wait!

I just scored a set of Ninja600 calipers, and VFR750 95-98 rotors (same as the F3/900) so all I need are the brackets. BTW are the rotor offset spacers included in the kit? Also what is the final price going to be?

Yes included & should be about $82 in a flat rate priority. :)

They arrive to port tomorrow so I am expecting to have them in my hands next week. :)

Awesome. Cannot wait until they arrive. I am doing a full rebuild on my wheels at the moment. Should have a nice front end ready to go by the time they make it to Australia.

Should have them in my hands on Friday.... Yes no problem to Paypal/ check ahead of time.

I just didn't want to do anything too far in advance!

:)

I have sent some PM's back. Not got my hands on the box today because of the rain (yes in SoCal everything stops for the rain....)
Picking them up Monday. :)

Damn. I am looking forward to getting a set. Let me know your PayPal once they are available.

Cheers.

woohoo Looking at them right now...! Finally :D

PM me for Paypal details or to send a check.

:)
