DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

what brand of fork brace is this?

I bent my forks hitting a deer in late 2013, and needed another stanchion tube. I saw these 750 forks on eBay with "lower clamp included" & almost no rust, SOLD! So now I have this nice looking nameless 185mm/35mm fork brace. Any idea who makes it? Polished Aluminum like a Micron (but different center design), not a Tarozzi or Telefix. ATK??

It's a bit oxidized, but will polish back up to a show finish pretty easily with some Mother's Mag&Aluminum polish & a buffing wheel.

Sure looks like an ATK, or a decent imitation of one. Just missing the sticker.

I say polish it up and run it!

You could safely call it an "IDK" brace.

You just don't have to tell them it stands for "I Don't Know". :-\\\

That's the plan! Except that I have 78 GS750 triples & Tarozzi brace that are 175mm spacing & this is a 185! My 110/90-18 barely clears the 175's & I cant fit a fender in there as is, so i need to find a 185x35 triple with the offset for straight leg forks.

I picked up some GS1000 forks for a GS750 we're building for my buddy & realized at the junkyard that several of the 1980's gs1100 triples were aluminum upper & lower, for the standard non-leading axle fork legs. The one I grabbed said 1980 GS1000 with a 1 through the first zero, so I'm not sure if it was a 1000 or 1100 (guessing 1100).
What I'm really hoping is that I can find an all aluminum lower triple from a 750, but I'm not sure if they exist. Hardened steel steering stem, of course, but cast aluminum lower triple. Anyone have an idea on if what I'm looking for exists?

...and we have a winner!
