I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.
The slides, nozzles and needles wear out on the GSXR carbs. Are these the same design, with the same issues? Chef166 has set up 2 sets of GSXR carb sets for me. Check with webike in Japan on new carb prices. When they go on sale the prices are very competitive with Sudco.Ok, carbs suddenly went weird in September.
It's been a frustrating 2 months, troubleshooting and tuning this BST36SS rack. I have the bike sides off for this project, so I can test ride it, and quickly take the seat and tank off for carb access.
Haven't spent much money but many days trouble shooting and testing. Fully tuned in detail, but still it idles at 2200 rpm after full warm up. This has been a problem all along with this carb/engine combination. I'm blaming the carbs, I think they're hopeless.
Last possibility may be a worn diaphragm, will try replacing that, but thinking about replacing the whole carb rack.
Have a search on ebay for 89-92 gsxr1100 carburetor, but also considering buying a new RS36 flatside rack.
Kinda pricy at $1000 for the rack, filters, throttle grip and cables.
In comparison to cars, this would be like replacing an OEM Rochester with a Holly. An automatically choice for performance improvement.
Will be doing other track day upgrades on this bike, have a fiberglass one piece tail and seat unit (94-95 Yoshimura Superbike), and headlight panel on order from Airtech.

I thought about emulsion tube wear. In the book they're called the needle jets.I've replaced the emulsion tubes 3 times since 2002 at $90 for a set of 4. Factory makes replacements tubes and what about the O-rings?
I have a list of all the various sizes needed for 36mm slingshots if you want them. Mine were all cracked smashed.

If you're gonna put a bike away for some time, drain the carbs. Finally got around to starting up my 1980 1000G again. Only one cylinder would fire up. Pulled the carbs and they were clogged up with this black, crystal like substance. cleaned up the secondaries, emulsion tubes and fired right up. Need to do a better job if I plan on storing the bike for a while. Hopefully it warms up again!
Cool, a CBX with a single sided swing arm. Yummy.
