mikeophone...it's a Vetter "Quicksilver" per the badge on it but I think possibly it's a Nightstalker too which is merely a slightly fancier with gold trim (which this has) but I could be mixed up eh.It's First I've ever seen too.Came with the bike.
If I get you right, you have a point there! When the sun is low, the road is wet, I guess I have ducked down to look through it like a tinted screen!
PS if you happen to find one to try, it might go on your Windjammer mount ok given the distance you have between headset and fairing and tank is ok per width...the Bolt holes are just about exactly the same. On the other hand, a Quicksilver mount won't take a Windjammer. not mine anyways. It's not beefy enough.
Noted - thanks Gorminrider! You get me right, and I have plenty of plexiglass scratch remover on had due to working in the graphics industry but haven't cared enough to remove the "tint" ;-)
I have a couple of spare Windjammer mounts, they are heavy duty, as in probably 10 pounds heavy duty, and could easily be drilled out to match the holes for a Quicksilver, that is IF I ever see one around here to pick up. I always wondered what the Nightstalker differences were, the gold trim on mine is cracked and faded and is really tacky anyway. I tried to move the lower attachments from one of my Windjammers to another (or perhaps it was to the tacky Nightstalker) for use in December here and the holes didn't quite line up. Oh well.
So you you guys are getting off into major fairing-speak now....
Agreed, and until the last couple of posts, mostly smaller, 1/4 or bikini style fairings, now we are getting major indeed!
That Rabid Transit using looks fairly aerodynamic, I've never seen one like it either. This thread is full of fairings that I've never seen before!
