Was there some nameplate or explanation of what that was? I suspect a core sample of something, maybe the existing rock formation, hopefully not a cement pour.,

Dave, there was a stand for a plaque, but it was blank. Don't know if it was being replaced or missing. That core sample has been lying there since the first time I visited. So not sure.

Hey Bob, thanks for the tag. Last week I was out of town, and this week I've been packing, and I move in five days (United Methodist pastor... they move us around every now and then... I'm moving about thirty miles north of where I am at the moment).

So I have a different picture in mind, but I'm not sure I can put my hands on it in the midst of the chaos, so here's a placeholder, and perhaps a submission all in its own.

That is what’s left of the old lumber mill here in Vernonia, Redman. What’s inside is very colorful.

See what happens when you leave early. You miss the good vistas. Glad you didn’t hit any deer or porcupines on the way home. Eli got kinda close to one deer this am as we were leaving camp.

Clump point lookout............ Dunk Island on left with beach. Behind the beach, Bedarra Island, family group islands and Hinchenbrook Island, the big smoky one in the middle of the pic, and Pertaboy Island, the lump closest on the right. Mainland Aus coast,form the right, disappears behind Badarra Island

All off the coast from where i live............The Reef, (normally under water), sticking out has caught many a boat.

I found some good spots on the way there and home. New one on the look out at the Great Sacandaga lake in NY, Plan to ride this are some more this year as it's not terribly far from my house.

Lol thanks. I stopped at crater lake last fall on my way home from Vegas. Been by it many times and never rode up there to take a look. It’s pretty amazing.
