A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Looking for recommendation on a bag to put on stock (I think) GS1100E rear rack

No clue what you're using it for nor size of the one you,ve found. Just say'in, my GSX1100G rack is 8" wide and 6" front to back, with an attached 6" tall back rest. My 6" X 6" x 8" insulated bag fits perfectly, completely snug and stable with 1 bungee cord. Easily holds 4 20 oz. drinks, a couple of packs of Eat-O-Snax (snack crackers) and insulin & syringes. Dang, it sure looks like your rack could have easily been appx.3" wider if they'd have just put the rails near the outer edge.... Good luck.

I just want it to hold small stuff, trip to store for drinks or whatever, probably get some small one off Amazon but wanted a bit more simple/vintage look. Yep, the platform mount area is tiny.

Yes, that looks to be a stock rack!

I use a Nelson-Rigg commuter bag on my passenger seat for all my essential items. (tire kit, compressor, tools, etc.) They make 3 different sizes and range from $119 to $159 each with a lifetime warranty. Right now they have a 25% discount using "labor2024" code.

When did you get an 11E? What year? I fondly remember your 11EZ turbo, just getting over the loss. :nonchalance:

Good tail bag...I have the "Lite" model, (smallest one), on my Speed400.

Red AND blue? I thought '83s were red OR blue.

2 bikes, one red, one blue. Here is red. Blue is in boxes but similar and complete.

I’ve actually been using the Viking Axwell Small Motorcycle Tail Bag on bikes with stock rear racks, and it’s fantastic—low-profile, rugged Cordura build, universal mounting straps that hug any sissy bar or rack snugly, and even includes a rain cover for wet rides.

Are Viking Bags paying you for this?

Nelson Rigg have a 25% labor day say. Code labor2025 if anyone can use it. I've always had good luck with their products.
