DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Good morning fine folks of the GSRESOURCE.COM! It's Saturday morning and that only means one thing... time to tally up the votes!

Yes, it was a good turn out this week. 13 entries, 14 votes.
Out of them 13 entries, there were only 4 zeros... we'll get to that later.

Receiving One Vote.

With the commanding win. Receiving FIVE votes.... Burque73

Roger, I am sorry about your win. That is definitely a cringe worthy picture.
But, with your five votes, that gives you the honor of picking next weeks subject.

Like I said, only 4 zeros this week.
I knew I was getting a zero, I just copied Eli69...
But D-gates, Dorkburger, Kerrfunk? Very cringe worthy pictures!
Let's see what we can do next week!

And as always, if there is a discrepancy in my vote count?
Well, you know where to kiss it! :)

About the pics getting no votes:
Doesnt mean were not worthy pics.
Lets just say there wasnt enough voters.

Ha, thanks, Norm, and the rest of you for the votes.

This mishap motivated me to finally build a spray booth, of sorts, in our shop. I've been painting doors for years with an airless sprayer, and I always hate the overspray powdery mess. I also plan to pick up an HVLP sprayer which will make for a much nicer finish on doors and I won't have to use rattle cans for the tank. I've got the ventilation with filters figured out, just need time to do it.

Thanks again for votes, fellas. Will have something for this week soon after breakfast.

Kind'f different this week. hard to imagine how good all the entries were this week, and nothing favorable about any of them. Certainly not what we're accustomed to

The 850 was due for an oil and filter change and man, in just in that simple task I had two opportunities for last week's theme. After it drained and buttoned it up I forgot the filter. Fortunately realized before adding oil. Added filter and oil and the new (but krinkled up) O-ring must have slipped as I tightened it 'cause oil dribbled out. Drained new oil into clean pan and, replaced O-ring with another. Good to go! I'm heading out after lunch for a theme pic.

This iron gate caught my eye as I was passing by today.

How about IRON for the theme.

Sorry, Dave. (Not sorry). Not riding this week. Got the back wheel off the Tiger and front wheel off the GS at the shop to fit new tires. (Actually one is technically a tyre;)). So had to go with the only pic I have that even remotely meets the theme.

Sorry, Dave. (Not sorry). .. .. .. .. ..

Ha ! Just poking fun at you.

And.. I found this other pic easy enough.
Tulip Trestle, hey, you were there in 2024.

Is over 150ft tall, and almost half mile long. A lot of iron and rivits from 1905-1906.

But this pic from 2023.
Maybe if I look back in archive a few more years, I can find somewhat similar pic with the GK.

An old iron and steel bridge at Frenchtown NJ crossing the Delaware River into PA. This was an epic late night ride full of memories. This was at midnight plus. There was a bright full moon, and it was just a great ride taken after recovering from a minor surgery and before returning to work. 2020 I think.
