    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

How ugly was your bike when you got it vs. now?

    Priceless. ;)

    GS1000 Gas Tanks

Both '79 and '80 GS1000 E/S tanks are mostly identical apart from the badge mounts on the E models, which I believe some have removed and/or filled prior to paint. Of course, '78 tanks (Skunk) will sport indents. Edit: as someone pointed out in another thread, petcock, location, and bolt...

If Steve's stash doesn't produce, appears the X-5s are still available from Suzuki @ around $18 a pop. There are also a couple on ebay: Link

    Decided I'm not a ?Biker?

Another "rider" here... though i've been called "that gawl'damn hooligan" on occasions, too.

    Very specific carb question

Hole indicates 16-valve carbs; no hole carbs are for 8-valvers... at least for 1000/1100 cc series.

    Help! I have a sickness

You'll love your ZX-11; i have a C model acquired from original owner who parked it 20 years ago w/ 1500 miles on the clock. Usual maintenance and new tires revived her to present glory. Haven't convinced myself to run 'er up to capable 175 yet, but hitting silky-smooth 160 is a snap on local...

    GS1000S clock adjustment

    Classic, Trev! :D

    GS1000S clock adjustment

Yes, it's a pull 'n twist action. Have same issue with my adjuster, too... but have better luck turning clock arms backward. Assume the gears involved are plastic and easily knackered over time. Always wondered if there's a fix.

2018 Kawasaki ZR900RS: Hit or Miss?

Liked everything about it except the firm-ish seat; had the feeling that i was sitting on top of the bike, rather than being a part of it... as the ZRX seat/ergo allows. I'm sure a 3rd party will offer a solution before too long.

    Something to make you cry...

This event is advertised as a "No Reserve Auction", meaning that bidders ?not stakeholders? will set prices. Would have been a great boneyard to rifle through back in the day.

Will SuperTrapp headers interfere with oil filter change?

Small flat tip screwdriver or dental pick. Don't worry about damaging them, as you'll want to install new gaskets.
