A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Just wanted to send out a reminder that if you want your rally listed on the homepage of The GSResources, please let me know. If you are looking to get more exposure for your event, be sure to email or DM the details to Frank (administrator). I will 'stick' your forum thread as well.

There is no longer a restriction to only annual rides. As long as your ride is a sure bet then I'll list it...

Please note that you may list all GS related events in the forum calendar.

    One final suggestion...
When creating a thread for a new ride, please continue to update the first article in the thread with the latest ride information. This saves people from having to wade through pages of posts for the updated information.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Save the Date: 2026 Brown County Indiana Rally - June 11-14, 2026

I also made it home safely on Monday as I spent time with brother-in-law who is recovering from a broken hip in a nursing home South of Indy. Visited with extended family on Sunday and got back home Monday afternoon.

Another BCR completed with great camaraderie in the parking lot, maybe the best part of the rally.

Hope to see you all next time.

It was good to see many of you --
My son and I had a blast ripping up the roads out there too.
It was great to ride with him again as he lives 900+ miles away from me now.
I am glad to have been around.
How did you all NOT get rained on ? I wen through 100 miles of drizzle to pouring and back -
Broke out into the sun on the 294 tollway with 110 miles left to ride...it got hot and humid but I soldered on!
Got home and went for a good walk (if you know you know ;) )

Friday,

I said I was gonna ride out Tunnelton Road, then find way to Becks Mills Road&Fredericksburg Rd, then find way to IN62 along Ohio River, and then decide what to do after that.
Scott Cowboy and Steve said they would ride along.
Oh boy, I dont have any specific route in gps or such.

Get on the RT and the gas guage shows blank, alarm flashing .... but I know is near full.... (but I will not bore you with that....)

Seeing a lot of familiar faces along with some new ones. Jay is still the Host with the Most. Glad a great rally was had by all, I miss the fellowship.

Saturday, I wanted to find the east enterance to the Tunnelton Big Railroad Tunnel. Photos and descriptions of it have been intersting. Most directions are to the west enternce that is closer to a road but is a couple miles down a unimproved gravel and dirt road (not sure how far). ANd I found on maps that paved roads can get to about a half mile from the east enterance.

Scott Cowboy and Ben said they would ride along. Well, okay, I got GPS coordinates, but not really sure a good route to there.

Took a wrong turn... but looked intersting that way, rode aways, then missed another turn, but looked intersting that way, so kept going, but going further out of the way from our destination, but was fun ride, so kept going - this is what happens if someone decides to follow me- but was intersting ride,... and.... then.... then road got smaller, then pavement got bad, then gravel. Was easy group decision to turn around and go back aways. And we did find a better road. And got to where was inteneding to go.

On my GPS this is called "Tunnelton Hill Rd" but that was not the name on the street sign.

But, ah, the tracks are way up there. Would be Pretty steep getting up there. ANd kinda precarious if train came along (and is the same tracks only a couple miles away that we saw a train yesterday.)

Maybe I should say that this in the photo is not the tunnel I was looking for. THe tunnel I was looking for we would have to walk about a half mile down the tracks in the woods, and is where the railroad goes into tunnel thru rock hillside for about half mile. Description I saw says the tunnel is curved, so dont have to go too far in and cant see either ends.
We decided not to try to crawl up there.

So we spent a little while looking over this place we did find. Interesting how the creek goes along the side of the road, then thru the tunnel under the grating/plate.

Afterwards we decided that we would go back towards Bedford aways and each go our on own for the afternoon.

Maybe next year, I'll get a better idea about the condition of gravel road on the west side, and how far on gravel. ANd maybe bring GK. (but condition of GK is an other story....)

(more later for my 450, Williams Bridge, 150, Shoals, French Lick, 50 afternoon adventure)

I will recommend this place. Had a printed menu, and then a loose handwritten page inserted. Pick items alacart.
I choose Meatloaf and mashedtater-gravy and green beans and drink.
Got two big pieces of meatloaf -big- big enough that one would have been about enough, but got two. ANd was good. I almost didnt finish the mashed taters cuz the meatloaf was so much. Green beans seasoned, maybe bacon. And the total was $12 and small change. At the cash register was a tip cup for waitress and one for the cook. Both got a tip.

(more later....)
