    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

With the silicone gasket in place, used a bar to align the bolt holes. To much tension on the bracket to try this by hand. Makes for a very secure bracket around the pipe doing it this way.

To keep it light and tidy will mount the pipe bracket to the frame using one of the footpeg bolts, no extra hardware needed.

Muffler fit is nice and tidy and hugs the swing-arm like it was designed for the build. I bought the muffler used and it had been damaged in a prang with road rash and cracked carbon at both ends of the can. Trimmed the carbon and reshaped the damaged titanium end caps and put it back together with aluminium rivets and straps.

Will be fitting the cables over the weekend, fresh minty new ones. I am surprised they weigh this much, 636 grams is more than I expected, I had estimated they would be around 450 grams.

Repacked it with high density fibreglass packing, it will be nice and mellow, soothing even. :-$

A Million Little Fibers...

You didn't give us the stats on the glass packing. Did you weigh it in one shot, or each strand individually? :smug:
 
HEL brake lines installed today. Front brakes have a line each direct from the master to each caliper, light and easy to bleed.

3 x HEL lines = 300 grams.

3 x sets HEL banjo bolts and crush washers = 77 grams.


Running tally = 184,234 grams.
 
A combination of an aluminium cowl frame to replace the OEM steel frame and swapping the OEM headlight for a brighter, lighter headlight worked out pretty well weight wise. Here are a few pics that show the difference.
