A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I picked this 1100F up this morning. It has been a while since I have owned one. Decent shape, needs a starter clutch. I didn't here it run, really didn't need to based on the price. However, I was told it was ridden all last year without issues.

Nice score. Did you steal it or give an arm for it. I'd like to have one, but they run a little pricey down here.

I think an outsider would say I stole it, around these parts.....not so sure.:p

What would you take for the trip meter reset knob??? Mine's broke & they're as scarce as hen's teeth. Congrats, looks good.

Ha! I know what it is like trying to find a Cooley clock knob, so I better keep this one with the bike!

Those are nice bikes. That one seems to be in good condition, I like that color scheme.

Nice! Last year I had a brief chat with a guy with the same bike. Beautiful. Bone stock, 30k something miles. He was the original owner.

It's is nice shape, I would give it a 7 out of 10. It came with a box which included the stock air box, as well as coils, starter and a relay or two. I am thinking the coils mayhave been upgraded.

?!? (I'll comment soon about all the religion and politics that has seeped out of the Vortex into the rest of this site, but a couple of the posts in this thread demonstrate what I'm talking about).

What year is it?

What did you pay?

the only year they offered them in the US was 1983...red or blue
kinda like the 83 1100E...the red is common and the blue is not very common.

Very nice! Oh, and very fast. Final nail in the coffin for the CBX and the speed wars that preceded it.

Rob, you seem to have fixated on my use of the plural, which is more inclusive (or exclusive) than the singular. It has no more to do with religion than "zounds," or "holy s#it."

I think the Harley is mucking with your critical thinking.

Thank you for the information. However, I cannot trust it because you didn't take up half a screen with a signature that tells me about which God (if any) to believe in, which politician to vote for, and several quotes to live by.

Get on with yo bad self, pirate! Avast!

I have to say it...nice you got one of the faster RED models.
Having both fork caps is almost as rare as the reset knob.
As you know the Supertrapp is a big bonus as well.
Looks like CBR plug wires. Was the seller from the 1100F site?

The SuperTrapp is awesome, my favorite exhaust by far and I believe I have finally obtained one that will work well on my 1100E.

I didn't even notice the fork caps.

I don't believe the owner was a member of 1100F.NET.

Don't mind Rob, Harley's make you grouchy. It's the nature of the beast. He probably doesn't wave to other riders now.

We had a blue one for sale here not too long ago that the owner was asking $5,500 for it.

Must have been a very nice one, did it sell?

Very nice score, great looking bike...

Just curious, how many discs are in the super trapp?
