A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Thanks for the compliments, and yes the spokes and drum brakes front and rear are factory. Besides the bars, slip-on's, and the cafe seat, It's just a stock 450tx under there.

Nice but 6700$ lol

here's my gsx400TX and the beaterbike GSX400EX.
Thanks everyone for posting your pix in here. I really enjoy seeing what you've done with these bikes
BeaterbikeShined-01-mar-2013.jpg

the interesting oddity on my parts/beater bike 'EX is this funny little rack.I do believe it's stock but I've only seen it once before.Unfortunately, the chrome is thrashed so I'll be painting it...

Very nice... and yes, you have the optional sports rack made of unobtanium!

That's why I made my own to replicate it... they're impossible to find and when you see a bike with one on it, the owner doesn't want to part with it...

I believe it's high time I posted some pic's of my 450 in here given I haven't done so yet... and especially now that she's "finished" and I got some half decent pic's today...

where can i get a exhaust like this for my 250? $

ah,Pete! Great! I was looking for your bike here .
..when I see your bike I sure miss my long-gone '72 CL350 Scrambler. It was a soggy thing compared to your bike but the insurance rate-class here meant it had a good $/fun ratio...IT needed a back-rack...

I like it. Build is similar to mine.

Where in GA are you? What did you do with the old wheels?

North GA near Blue Ridge Mountains, I got a local guy that really wants them for his Build but have not talk to him yet would you like to make a offer. I have an ad in the parts section if you want photos.

Nice I used to live in GA and rode around there 129/60/180 etc.. Its an great spot.

I already have a set that I bought for 50$ but they are pitted and yours lookes cleaner in the pics.

To fit a fat wheel in the back youre gonna nee a wide swingarm. Here is what I did on mine. My wheel is gonna get thrown on soon Ill update the pics. You are also going to need an offset front sprocket and youll need to beat the frame rail in some to the get the chain to clear. I used a 4.5in wheel but a 5inch could be done but wont be easy.

I had that custom made by a local exhaust shop here... just under $AU800 but you guys in the US usually get this stuff way cheaper than us ;)

Haha yeah I had to stick some in here... and I've now seen pic's of three 450's with the genuine optional racks, and not one owner has wanted to part with it... so yeah I had an old carry rack sitting around that I cut and shaped to attach to the grab rail. Then John82q welded it up for me as he'd seen my previous welding efforts
