A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I'm using the stock petcock now with prime as on, and on/reserve as off......but I need a reserve available because I hate walking or pushing :)
The Pingle will work perfect, just not the cheapest route

Yea they can be bought with a reserve feature.
The other GS1000 that I pulled the carbs from has one now.
But I need to leave that one, since the 33 smoothbores I'm putting on that will need it like the 29's did.

I kinda want to pick your brain about the FJ1100, there's a lot of used ones here for sale here in really good condition.

I loved mine from the first ride, until the day it died....at the hands of a friend who slammed into a car that pulled out in front of him.
The bike was perfect in everyway for me with no issues ever for the 3 years I had it....The silver/red combo I think was the best out of the close to 15 year lifespan of the FJ series.
And the engine lived on to the XJR, up until last year I believe. That is over 30 year life span of a engine design, it is a good one in my opinion.

Busa, I hope you seriously consider stopping by at the Brown County Rally. You're definitely a character I'd like to meet. 👍

I've got it on the calendar, as it gets closer I'll have a better idea if I'll make it down there.
I need to get some more miles on the bike to make sure nothing will fall off on a long far off ride.

First bike show of the season

First bike show of the season

Took a couple of my bikes to a local show last weekend. First public viewing of my GS, and first time out in 3 years for my GT. A Kawasaki triple took the trophy, ...everybody loves an H2 I guess :p
Saw viperg at the show and talked as I was loading back up to head home...
It was good to talk to you again in person, and hope to make it to the next show your at in a few more weeks...just need to decide what I'll be taking...???

500 miles and no issues yet....almost feel relaxed without worry of parts falling off now.

too bad, 'cause i would love to see some of those land on my doorstep ;)

Kudos for the way you restored the bike, from parts and style to color, i love it !

Thanks :)
I had a hard time restraining myself, and not using new age GSXR front end and rear wheel and....well I had a lot of other ideas I wanted to use too.
But it came out ok even with the Old Skool look, since I didn't have a 4 stroke with wire wheels.
