A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Just want to say thanks for taking the time to provide us with o-rings for our carbs. You provide a great service and it's members like you that make this site great!:)
I recently serviced my carbs and the dreaded fuel "T" fitting leaked. Mine was the rubberized version so I couldn't use your o-rings and saved them anyway. I ordered the replacement "T" from Z1 Enterprises with their o-rings installed. As Chuck Hahn (member here) stated earlier, the Z1 o-rings are often too big and installation is difficult. My "T" came with the o-rings too big and I tore one during installation, even though I used silicone lube and tried to be careful. Luckily I kept Robert's o-rings and they fit well (as Chuck also said). Saved me from having to wait for another delivery to get my bike running.
Thanks again.

I just sent Z1 Enterprises a message suggesting they should contact Robert here. I'm going to guess their answer will be "thank you for your message but no one else has complained". I told them a member here who rebuilds lots of carbs had warned me about the O-rings not fitting well. It's not just in my case.
If the correct O-rings are difficult to find then they should look at other sources if they care about their customers. I doubt they'll contact Robert but who knows? I thought it's worth a try.

I'll give a big +1 to that, thanks Mr Barr!! Fingers crossed Z1 will take it on board, the guy who runs the place (Jeff Saunders?) is a member here from memory so there's a good chance he'll at least listen I reckon.

Well said, Keith.
The parts from Robert have made my GS life much better.

Bob IS THE MAN to contact for O rings. I did this fall when I discovered again Suzuki listed the wrong O ring size for the GSXR1100 intake boots.

Mr. Barr's o-rings have certainly simplified the lives of many a GS rider over the years, including mine. Turns out he's also a heck of guy and a lot of fun to ride with and hang around with if you can get him to a rally.

Now Robert needs to perfect the wrong size orings that come with petcock rebuild kits. IIf those kits could be made reliable for more than a day or two it would be great.

My exact experience as well. Makes me want to buy a gross of his kits just in case they become unavailable some day.

As did happen Brown County 2012

I purchased o-rings from Robert Barr and sent my carbs to Steve for rebuild. At some point, I will put my bike back together and test them out. I'm gonna use my Total Knee Replacement (both knees) in Mar/Apr 2018 as an excuse for not working on my bike.

Anyway, the whole experience was easy and quick. It helps to have PayPal.

Thanks, I appreciate the comments!

Standing offer for GSR -- For the rare occasion when someone needs the O-rings for those replacement inlet T's, you can just PM me for my address and send a SASE. We'll get ya fixed up, gratis. And/or, if you're ordering a kit, just mention it and I'll toss in a few extra of that size.

I've ordered around a half dozen over the last few years and have been very happy with them and the service Robert provides. They arrive pretty fast also.

one wonders how many gs's would have been scrapped without mr. barr's work....thank you, sir!

Here here, I have ordered a few sets over the years. Always fast service with a smiling note of gratitude. I too have had the thought of ordering 6-12 sets for when supplies, or service stops...

Thanks Robert ! ! !

I screwed up my latest order and Robert was hoping acious enough to track it down and let me know I messed up. I reordered the correct parts last night and, they're in the mail. Thanks Robert
