A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Perfect day for a quick spin around town....

Hey, I used to have a few of those and one in that color. Someday when I grow up(again) I'll get me another GS.

Middle of winter here yesterday but the top was 29 celcius... ??

Made for a perfect ride though...

A customer called me in for a service call yesterday (Saturday).
Took the GK (can carry tools in trunk, bags)
Stopped here on way back. SOmething I pass by often, but this time stopped for a better look.

Later in after noon (upper 80s, some humidity) took the smaller bike with smaller fairing for ride.
Told myself I was going for ride, not stopping for pictures.
THen notice that it was overcast, so good for photos.
Nope, not stopping for pictures, am going for a ride.

Came upon a "Road Closed Ahead, No Thru Traffic" barracde.
I knew was a couple miles of some curves and then bad road & old bridge over some low swampy area, maybe the construction is there... and so a couple miles of curves with no traffic.
Yep.

Had a good time.

Interesting machinery, I watched a wooden version like that wheat thresher demonstrated at a steam tractor show.
PS:Is that shorty muffler loudish? Much louder than your GK?

Not today's ride but a picture I stumbled across of my '82 GS1100E after returning from a 2 week ride with friends through New England, Nova Scotia up to the northern end of Cape Breton. Our first long trip together when the bike was brand new. Two weeks of road grim (had rain 10 days out of 16), but still looked great.

Shan and I knocked out over 100 miles on the GS!!! Connie is down for a few more days... We had a blast on the old bike! L tanks suck BTW...

Is stock exhaust (86 Honda Shadow 500, some 83-84 parts). Is a bit more putt-putt-putt-putt, but no where close to loud.
THe general appearance is of the two header pipes and that shorty muffler, but is also similar shorty muffler on other side AND a lot bigger muffler underneath.

Took a trip up to Moosehead this past weekend on the 425L. A dozen donuts from the bakery down the road in Abbot tied to the back.

THe donuts for the trip? ... or to bring back home...? or for your riding partner there in picture?

And here i thought we were going to get a story about visiting the Moosehead Brewery.
Not sure donuts and beer would make a good pairing.

The donuts were a request from the friend whose camp we stayed at, though I probably could have eaten the whole dozen in a sitting myself.

Took my "L" to work today, like most nice summer days. I still don't know who owns the "T".2gs.jpg

Musical Highway

Musical Highway

Route 66 east of Albuquerque has engineered a rumble strip to play a song. The song, "America The Beautiful" can clearly be heard if you roll over it at 45 mph (IN A CAR) too much noise on a bike:(. Sure is a neat way to control the speed on the road, wonder if they'll take requests on the next one?

A dozen for her and 6 for me

A dozen for her and 6 for me

Flowers made it without too much trouble, and the cold ones still cold.

Ah, those wide grooves in the pavement, so tires make noise, developed by the famous civil engineer, Dr. Alfred J Rumble.

Rode down to Walton, KY via slab (I hate being on that) tonight for a Lee Parks Total Control class tomorrow. The weather stayed mostly dry until I crossed the state line when somebody just opened a large shower head with a light show.

Really looking forward to the long ride home Sunday
