All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Rob and I got out for a much needed ride in the dirt today. Beautiful day....
Started off with eggs Benny at Floyd's dinner...

Rode down to Walton, KY via slab (I hate being on that) tonight for a Lee Parks Total Control class tomorrow. The weather stayed mostly dry until I crossed the state line when somebody just opened a large shower head with a light show.

Really looking forward to the long ride home Sunday

Read only great things about all the Lee Park classes.
Looking forward to your take on the class.

Anxious to hear details of the class. Sounds like fun.

+1 on that, Charlie.

Trevor, would that area and roads/trails be considered public or is it remote enough that everybody uses them?

Yes, we are very lucky to ride here...thanks.
It's about a 30 min ride to where we ride...it's mostly Crown land but a lot of it is owned by logging companies....so they do put gates up in an attempt to keep riders out. The riders usually just make trails around the gates...:) There are so many trails and logging roads on the Island...we went all the way up to Jordan River yesterday...you can go all the way up to the top of the Island barely ever touching a "road"....and the scenery is spectacular because of the peaks it allows huge views of the ocean.
We rode 200kms yesterday and never saw another person all day except for on guy going in to go fishing.
As for the riding, it can be as easy or as hard as you like...you can stay on logging roads or you can venture in single track stuff for more of a challenge....there is lots we wouldn't do on our big old 650's...

Thanks Bill. Got the matching front fender, I still need to tweak the brackets to properly fit the mid panels. The replacements actually have all of their tabs in place.

The Jive Tomato, as Huggy Bear called it. What crappy cars those were.... They had sucked every ounce of performance out, that would be lucky to have 180HP. Plus they didn't stop or go around corners.....

Wait, that sounds like a GS. Never mind...

THAT!! is freakin' awesome!! it looks like every detail was paid attention to. What do you think the white box and speaker is for on the far right side??

Rob, you are right...this guy had every detail covered! That's the police scanner!

First ride since the heart surgery....felt good to get out, but I may have been a little premature on my recovery, as I am very sore.

Glad to hear you went out for a ride and that you are on the mend. That is one beautiful bike! Thanks for posting...:)
