If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Finally.... A Suzuki.... Gees, a Yamaha and then a BMW....man I better get out riding more ;) as usual thanks for all the pics everyone.

Oooops, another "Other" bike ride.

I missed the tag from the Riding Game but an abandoned grain elevator in Port Colborne, Ontario.
The Robin Hood floor elevator has been dormant for about 15 years.
Coincidentally, a 730 foot laker going by that used to carry grain.

Well it's been raining here for 3 days now.:( Last night we got a break after dinner and around 8pm I went out for a quick spin. I have not been on a bike since Sunday, the longest I have gone all summer.

Fall sure came in a hurry, didn't it? Supposed to be nice all weekend, hope to get past the Honey Do list early. 3 day weekend down here.

Great shot! Not bad for a crappy cell phone picture:encouragement:

Yes and a very fine one at that. Get out there and ride! This thread has been lacking lately. A Yammie triple? No offense meant Jed :biggrin:

I would have liked to see that in person!
Real nice!

Thanks, it's about 5 min from my house. One of my favourite spots to take pics. It's in Brentwood Bay over looking the Pacific Ocean towards the Malahat.
I went out to fill out the bike and I could see the hole in the sky off in the distance and rode towards it.
Cell phones are awesome!:)

My buddy and I Rode home from work in a thunderstorm today and had the pleasure of crossing a small stream on the way. Not really but the road from the hospital was flooded in one section and knocked his feet of his floorboards. I was behind him and already committed but was able to power through with the water coming up to above my footpegs and I moved to the oncoming lane to get by him. We finished the ride getting out of the storm about halfway to the house.

Took a coulpe rides today tracking down stuff for our broken down car.... The riding eased the pain.......

I used this sign in a Riding Game tag a couple of years ago.
Then, the place was simply vacant. It has since burned, and this summer was demoed. I assume the sign is next, which will, eliminate yet another piece of coolness from the past. I wish I had gotten some pictures of it lit up.
I love that the original sign simply says.......TV.... as a hook.

Don't worry Rob, it's my wife's bike... I just took it out for some Drive Angry-style riding this evening as it's been collecting cobwebs since her last ride on it in July.

Hey Dorkburger, where is/was the Moon Motel sign located? Its a damn shame that signs like that are being demolished. It'd be great if someone would buy it, even if it was placed in storage, to save it from being turned into scrap metal. There's a guy near here (ie. Rogersville, TN) that has been collecting all kinds of 50's era stuff over the years. He literally built a town in his back yard and hosts a car show every Memorial Day that's open to the public. He has everything from an old car dealership to a drive-in theater to an old diner in his back yard. Its incredible! Here's a link to an article covering this year's cruise in.

Rt 9 Howell NJ.
Ill be sad when its gone. Several years ago in North Jersey there was a Gulf Station that still had a giant "GO GULF" neon sign high above it with green arrows pointing to it...... Gone.

Darn the sideways pic, but this ones still open (rt 22, Whitehouse Station NJ). Hope to get a better pic of it.

I went for a ride today, no pics to prove it but I rode east of Omaha about 120 miles where an auction was taking place. Old Honda dealership closed up 30 years ago. The big draw was a 79 Honda CBX 1100. 6 cylinders and only 295 miles on it. They had it recently cleaned up for the sale and it brought $16,500. Nice bike but what could you do with it? You spend that kind of money and you can't even think about getting your money out of it. You ride it and it starts depreciating. It's just another bike for show and tell. Maybe in 10-20 years it will be worth a profit to the buyer.

Also had a bunch of NOS Honda gas tanks that brought between 200 and 500 bucks with the exception of one that was a custom swirl paint job---it sold for $2,000.

I want one of those!

I want one of those!

Indulge your desires!

I'm a Suzuki guy and often cast a cold eye towards her STR thinking that a new GSX-S750 would be a better fit in my, er, our garage but then I ride the Trumpet and it's pure magic. I don't know how Hinckley did it but this is one of the best bikes, one of the most fun bikes, that I have ever ridden.

Don't tell anyone I said that. :-#

Just as I got back to the shop from a ride in the Gila, my obometer did this. 100_1427.jpg
