A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Go ahead, pull the trigger Trevor!

I was at the BMW shop yesterday picking up my low seat. The owner told me he just ordered the RS in "sport" color. He said he'd give me a call when it comes in.
The RS is nice, but just a little down on horsepower for my liking... (not really, just being silly)
Love the sport color!

Didn’t go for a ride, too dang cold, even for me. Went to the annual motorcycle swap meet in Harrisburg instead. Last year I found a great armored riding jacket for a good price so thought I’d check it out again.

The place is mostly a mess of HD parts, shirts, junk knives/swords, various things made from some derivative of a hemp plant. Populated with HD riders sporting their clubs’ colors/patches. Their old ladies wearing denim vests with patches on the back declaring them the “Property of (insert moniker of their old man here)”. No judgement here. To each their own.

Anywho, no good gear cheap was to be found. But there was some neat stuff to look at:

After having K bike, you would be satisfied with a boxer engine ?

Rich, thanks for posting the pics of the swap meet. It served as a reminder as to why I avoid those $h!t shows. Aarh.......

Had a rain the other day to wash salt off the roads.
46-48 degF today. That is about the best that can expect for a while.
Maybe should have raked leaves again.
But Took each bike for ride and to fill gas tank.

Was 6 or 8 surfers out there, and a few kite surfers further down the beach.

Not a lot of miles, maybe 50 miles total. Maybe should have had the liner back in riding pants. But was good to get out.

Didnt bother with pic of Shadow500, that was just to gas station and back.

I had 4 1/2 days off and the weather is mild enough to ride. I got out wednesday at noon for a long ride and went out to the pub that night. Ended up catching a cold at the crowded pub and the rest of the weekend spent on the couch in misery.

Sorry, no pics but I enjoyed a father/son ride yesterday and today I sent him back to Honolulu. I offered him the choice between the triumph and the bmw and he choose the bmw. Actually I sort of forced him to ride the bmw just to make him aware of the great German engineering :mad::mad::(:(:(......

Good to see that you got out for an other ride (and posting pics).

I gather that place would be:

Offutt Air Force Base....
is a U.S. Air Force base south of Omaha, adjacent to Bellevue in Sarpy County, Nebraska. It is the headquarters of the U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), the 557th Weather Wing, and the 55th Wing (55 WG) of the Air Combat Command (ACC),

Actually Dave, it is not Offutt Air Force Base, it is the SAC aerospace museum right off of I-80 about half way between Omaha and Lincoln Ne.

Just barley 40degF today (suppose to be colder and "winter mix" in next few days) so got out for a short ride.
