A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Went for evening ride last night up and went to Muskegon. Swung by the beach there for sunset (and then stayed for twilight).

Yesterday and today the first days in upper 60s low 70s. .
But when at the beach the breeze comming in off the lake was maybe 55.

Got back home about 10PM, was still in 60s, gee, kinda makes me think maybe is springtime (but, ah, snow in forecast for Monday & Tuesday).
Was nice to be out for about 4 hours.

Need to get GK out, is in back corner of garage, and I have a license tag situation to resolve.

Then my buddy Shaun and I went out for a pint after dinner on our classics

It's been awful nice on this side of the state. Unfortunately haven't been able to ride the GS yet. Been doing yard work and catching up on vehicle repairs/maintenance.

I look forward to seeing pictures of the GK!

Second ride after winter. Weather here has been incredible. A short ride turned into 300 because, well, I'm retired single and I can. Almost made it to Lake superior but timed out. There is still LOTS of snow in northern Wi. & Mn and if weather permits I may make a waterfall run next week as the streams will be running hard and there are 5-6? great waterfalls in upper Wi. and MN along Lake Superior in the Duluth area. Sorry I can't post pictures cause I still am unable to figure out how to. Why is this so difficult other than my stupidity?

Opps my posting of Tuesday ride to Muskegon has lost its picture.

And here is pic of Friday day ride

Today is 55degrees colder (85-30).

I can't stop riding the Beemer. I have some plans for a few mods to it, but it is an absolutely fabulous bike. I'm averaging 200 miles a week on it commuting to work and back twice a week and then taking trips on weekends.

So I may have bought another sidecar rig that's pretty much the same as the one I sold 5 years ago.... just older (2007 vs. 2013)...

... and I rode it today. Still shaking it down after picking it up last weekend... it was parked for quite a while so everything wet required refreshing... and it still needs rear pads (on order). Great fun though, I'd almost forgotten the joy of an evil-handling motorcycle. :devilish:

glad there are other Michiganders that understand my plight

Hey, Gorilla, I dont recall if I knew where you are.
I am just outside Grand Haven.

Have gotten GK out.

Well, "out" of the back corner of garage, out into the driveway.
Started easy (but smoked alot).
Didnt get out for a ride, had a couple days in mid 40s, but had other stuff going on.

Where are you located in MI? I'm looking for a wingman if you're not far from the Flint area. I lost my riding buddy after he wrecked his bike. He's doing fine after a 6 month recovery but his wife "encouraged" him to sell the bike after that...

I'm jealous, would love a side car. Looks good!

Unfortunately, I am all the way up north near the Traverse City area, but if you guys ever get up here we can go on a ride!
