DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Anyone using K&P engineering oil filter???

As the title say.
They make reusable stainless steel oil filter for GS.
I had run a similar filter on my DRZ supermoto and was pleased with that.
I was wondering because the price was around 110$ and never seen one of theur product.
Thank you,
Marc

It might be worth while, if it filters well AND you plan on riding your bike for and additional 90,000 km.

[$110/$3.64(emgo filters @ Z1)] =30(about) x 3.22(oil change interval in Km's)= ....

i was thinking that too.
Emgo or hiflo filter are around 6-7$ ea and OEM is 8$ taxes included here.
If i change the oil 2 time a year it would take 7 years to absorb the filter.
On the plus side you dont have to think about getting a new filter
and you can see the ''internal'' of the engine when you clean the filter.

Marc, get OEM filters off of ebay...usually a lot of 4 or 5 at a time, to offset the shipping cost....they work out a lot cheaper than buying them locally.;)
Tony.

Hi,

www.partsnmore.com sells oil filters for $3 each. The last time I bought some, I got a batch of 10 Hi-Flo (or was it EMGO?) from Z1Enterprises.com for not much more.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

I don't use any other brand than genuine Suzuki when it comes to oil filters. Frams are garbage, just so you know! Ray.

Agreed on all points.

Preach it!

The filters sold by Napa (made by Wix) are pretty nice if you don't have time to wait for the Suzuki boat to arrive.

Awwwwwwll

Awwwwwwll

Boulevard Suzuki sells OEM filters for $3.52. I usually stick a few on an order when I'm buying other stuff....as long as it doesn't increase the shipping cost.:-\\\

Thanks guys:D,
I already have 2 suzuki oil filters, i will probably place an order somewhere for a bunch (10) of oil filters.
I recently bought a GK and with bike i need to make tune-up for 3 GS.
