A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

The views expressed in this forum are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of "The GSResources" or the editors.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Bike Bandit out of Business

They had nasty high prices coupled with no cheap shipping options. Though I've not looked at the site for years due to the initial bad experience.
I imagine a forward look at rising shipping costs plus inflation eroding sales volume was key.
when they started Amazon was not the juggernaut it is now and I buy a lot of generic MC related things there.

Not at all.
read the article, financial chicanery of the highest order, including accepting over $600k in orders after they went bankrupt.

Just a bunch of thieves

I bought tons of parts though Bike Bandit. I could order OEM Suzuki parts and get them the same week. It sucks that they stole from so many people. Things must have changed there towards the end.

I'd been wondering why everything was listed as backorder. I have at least been using them to look up parts numbers, still will until their site goes down I guess.

Yep, they were located in CA, so folks in CA could get stuff pretty quickly.

I only ordered from them a few times, years and years ago. Not the greatest experience or service, and their doofy system of obfuscating part numbers was maddening, so I stopped using them long ago.

Overall, not surprising. They never really updated and kept up with the competition. Although what appears to be outright fraud is a little surprising.

I might have been one of the last happy customers Bike Bandit had...
About two years ago I had ordered something and a faceshield. I received the something, but the faceshield was on backorder. After awhile I finally got refunded for the faceshield...Then, out of the blue I received the faceshild!

For tires been been going through Rocky Mountain. Other things Revzilla. For riding gear, Piston Ported Vintage Scooter Parts. Yeah it's a scooter store, but they sell riding gear too. ;)

Wow, just realized I ordered something from them last July and got it in September. I understood the delay as just a normal delay due to covid so I didn't worry about it. The part was listed back order everywhere as well (triumph link lead harness for rectifier/regulator).

For OEM parts, I’ve been very happy with partshark.com for the last couple of years.

Yep, I've ordered from them a few times. Partshark is a real, live motorsports dealer here in Indianapolis called Flatout. Partshark is their online parts sales division. The building doesn't say Partshark on it anywhere, and they run the businesses separately, but I can still choose to go pick up my goodies in person. It's a nice chance to wander around and slobber on some bikes and stuff.

I order most parts from another dealer that's slightly closer; OnlineCycleParts.com is the online arm of Westfield Powersports, located just north of Indy. Again, a large, very reliable local dealership and their service has been outstanding.
