    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

    Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

    So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

OK Folks,
I got a pair of mufflers Cermakromed, at Moore Power Coatings. The cost was $55 each, although their price list states $40 each for motorcycle mufflers.
These mufflers were from a GS750E type and in good shape, but they were black chromed and I preferred chrome. However rechroming may not be available for used mufflers, because the carbon buildup inside fouls the acid bath required. Rechroming is costly too. I chose cermakrome for the lower cost.
Anyway here is a cemakromed muffler held against an OEM Suzuki chromed muffler for your appraisal.

not a bad option at all.. i wonder, would having a muffler that is coloured from heat be reconditioned to "like new" finish this way..
 
looks fine by my standards, I don't drool over clean chrome, but do appreciate a clean bike. The pipe looks clean

Old funky chrome is no problem, they just spray over it. I would like to get the funky down pipes on my 1100G cermakromed, I just need to sand down the rusty areas to make them smooth.

And dont for fet the benefits Cerama has over chrome. No more burning yourself on any of the pipes coated. Plus if all their sales info about the added bonus of performance.
 
Can you go the other way with it? I have a chrome exhaust system that I want to take to black.
