A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

That's pretty cool Dale and neat bends there too. I'm having trouble getting my fork brace bent up at the moment, care to pop on over and lend me a hand? :p

Pete, don't tempt me! I'd love to stop and lend a hand. plus there's an added bonus if I did; I've some friends In your neck of the woods I need to visit.

Aaah I see! 'Tis the lure of the wide brown land... haha

I think I've got it covered but if you do indeed pop over one day you must let me know!

Pete, don't you worry none, I will pop on over one day. just need to visit the "Dark Continent" first.

Not half as much as I will!

I checked on the price of tickets yesterday. it's about $1250 USD round trip... :)

Well Dale, at least you know that your accomodation and a wwekend into the bush to go see the big 5 is sorted when you get to JHB, and I have no doubt it will be in the Cape as well, looks like you may be able to pull off the holiday of a lifetime for the price of a round trip ticket. ;)

Oh, awesome work on the battery box, one thing I miss about the workshop is not having access to the toys to do stuff you can't get done at home.

Chuck, I'm loving the whole process. it's a good way to re-hone seldom used skills! very glad You found it for me and I'm having a blast redoing this one.

really...

Sand blasted a few pieces after work the past few days. after work tomorrow, I'll finish sanding a few spots and prime them so they can be blocked and hit with colour this Saturday.

rust ate away a bit of the metal at the end of the side stand, so I had to do some welding up and filing to get it back into shape.

Chuck, it was all off this time.

Great stuff, you sure are making some headway there Dale, looking good as always......the parts, not you. ;)

Dale,
I must apologize as I only picked up on your thread today. I think I need a bit of an oil change or a tuneup as this is not the first time I have missed important things!;)
That is excellent work you are doing. I definitely do not have the patience you have!
Its amazing how "new" any bike looks if the frame is done and how poor a newly painted bike can look with a ratty frame or is it only me.
Now I am subscribed and will keep an eye on you.;)
