A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Had one of the newer racers at my local track put a strut, wheelie bars, slick and then lowered his gsxr1000. I think he dropped the forks in the triple trees, no strap. I was racing him in the third round. Just after the finish line he got into some bumps in the shutdown and it went into a nasty headshake. He was right next to me at this point and I'm looking over at him like oh shit. In the blink of an eye it went right over on it's side. I didn't see where he went all I could see was his bike sliding down the track right next to me. Sparks flying everywhere. I got off the brakes quick and made sure I stayed in front of that bike. That thing slid a long way. Once the sparks stopped he got right up and started running after his bike. Not even five minutes later he picked that thing up and rode it back up the return road. Luckiest guy I ever saw. I wish I had a helmet cam on at the time. Would have mades some awesome footage. Anyway I had a runner up finish on the gs $50. Thats my gs related portion of my post.

I am always amazed at how few problems the bikes have at the track.

Where did this one happen? Were they going to do something to try and fix the track, if it really was the track?

I bet he had it so low that when he touched the brakes the exhaust hit putting him into a tank slapper.

last spring they built the shutdown up 28 feet. It used to go down hill. Last year it was great. This year it started getting some rolling bumps in it just in the one lane. I assume from the settling. once you cross the finish line the trick is to move out of the groove toward the center. It's smooth there. I'm thinking it had something to do with the way he had the bike set up. I know the old kz's and gs's were known for their head shake if you loaded up the front end too much. It seems like the new liter bikes are awful twitchy as well. Then to modify the geometry without raking the front end just doesn't seem like a good idea. I'm not sure if they plan on doing anything about the shutdown.

I had something simillar happen manny years ago. Had my car at the strip, the car I was running next to broke an axel 8O and he flipped the car up and over the gard rail on my side . I just stood on the brakes to stay out of his way
