I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Dynatek ignition

Which ignition do I put in my gs650? Looking at dynatek but if theres another brand give suggestions.

Pickups are taking a crap. That's the inconsistent skip, what's going on is the negative side is shorting out, sometimes it runs on two cylinders and the skip wont happen at all but once it's on all 4 that's when the skip starts happening.

Need one that fits a gs650

Have you tested the resistance of the two connector plug coming from signal generators? It?s just above battery....across the two pins you should see about 300 ohms (iirc). Unlikely to be this unless wires are shorting out. Your ignitor might be at fault..but this is also unlikely since you have a random misfiring.....

Blue and green wires? I only.checked for continuity which they do have but that was it.

I also used a testlight on them and both for some reason read negative.

Gonna check it still

Reads 332, is that too high to be usable?

Edit: guessing that it's not, seen a post and 360 is where the resistance can go to.

What is this red piece for? Pretty sure it's some sort of ground.

Can it be removed with the installation of the dyna S or does it need to be left on?

Gets in the way of the plate causing it to sit lopsided, didnt want to leave it like that.

The end of the red oil pressure switch should have a wire with a lug terminal screwed into the hole in the end of it. Wire probably green w/yellow stripe.

If you want to use the dyna on a gs650 (or 450) ,you need to make a half moon cutout in dyna plate to clear oil sender.E59C1A7F-4AD8-4F8C-AED0-A70DFE619C6E.jpg

Please watch the video! I understand now what's going on, CDI gets deleted, ignition gets hooked up straight to coilplug wires. I have two questions

What to do with the green and yellow wire that was part of the OEM ignition

And what to do with the black and white wire that is part of coilplug wires (have a feeling its a ground)

Please watch!

Green and yellow was oil light, have it hooked up and working, now just wondering about black and white wire. All 4 cylinders do spark but I dont want something to be left alone if it needs to be messed with

I have side 1 and 4 timed correctly but side 2 and 3 will not show a light at all nomatter where I move the piece on the plate. This is a brand new ignition. What's the possibilities of why it wont show up?

Timing is set to full advance, magnet is placed correctly, all is correct but the light will not show. I did have spark to all 4 cylinders when I checked but ofcourse this is when the bike was not running.

Isn?t the 2-3 setup fixed opposite 180 degrees to 1-4 setup on dyna plate.....so if 1-4 looks good, you should be good to go timing wise. Of course, you did check that your mechanical advance was behaving ??

Yes it on the other side of the plate but I'm meant to time it with the mechanical advance at the fully timed mark, and with mechanical advance opened up. Mechanocal advance working just fine.

Messed with 2-3 placement so not sure if it's set correctly now.
