fnt, rear, wheel/brake/ fork upgrades gs 1000

hi all im rebuilding my gs 1000 and doing some mods. besides changing the engine i added a gs1100 rear swingarm and koni shocks ,this swing arm is bigger so i was thinking of upgrading wheels possible brake and fork . i need a new tire on rear any way, possible front end swap also . there is a 92 gsx 750 katana on e-bay now all in parts. i could get wheels axles brake calipers frt rear forks triple clamps discs ect. i think i have seen on previous posts that this stuff will fit on my bike. i need to know what i should get to change over on the rear wheel assy to get a bigger tire . what i need to either change over the front wheel or would it be better to change over the entire fork / brake/ wheel assy. i know this is a long post with many questions . sorry but this stuff ends in 3 days and its in my city mpls/stpl so i could go pick it up!!

You could use Katana components, but GSXR is the way to go.
Katana gives you mediocre front end with good front brakes and 17`` wheels ( 3`` front and 3.5`` rear ). 88 / 89 GSXR gives you much better front end with even better brakes and wider wheels ( 3.5`` front and 4.5`` rear, maximum what you can use with this new swingarm ).
I would buy just rear sprocket holder from Katana to match it with 4.5`` rear wheel from Billy Ricks ( he is on this forum and has one for sale )
and complete front end from 88 / 89 GSXR or newer RF 600 / 900 with wheel, fender and brakes.
It really pays to spend more money for better components - I know something about it.

Hey guys
Check out the performance section on this site and go to Major Kat rebuild.
The Katman describes in detail with drawings and great photos on how to perform the mods you will need.
At this time you will require a complete front end from a GSXR 1100 as the forks are longer than the GSXR 750 units. The front end is a straight bolt on if you use the taperd bearings. The Katman used 1993 GSXR wheels and used the stock 82 GS 1100 Swinger on his Kat with some minor mods to make spacers, although you will need to get an offset countershaft sprocket. The Katman gives you all the details in regards to this as well. Save his inquires on your desktop for quike reference.
