A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I posted a couple of weeks ago with a front disc brake problem on my GS 450. I got it fixed thanks to forum members. I went out for a ride today, but didn't get too far, my front tire feels like it is seriously out of balance. It oscillates up and down like there's an out of balance problem. I can see what looks like it might be a bulge on the right side, very slight, but not running true on the rim. Tires are new front and rear, cheap tires, but new. The bike did sit for about three weeks without being ridden, do the cheap tires go out of round? Perplexed as usual on this one.

Sounds like the tire is not properly seated on the wheel bead. Who mounted them? If it was a store you might want to take them back. If you mounted them, I'd take them loose from the bead, lube the bead with real tire lube (available at better auto parts stores like NAPA), and then try to seat the bead again using no more than 50 psi pressure.

Well, I had them mounted at a shop that specialized on Suzuki, so I may take it back there. I've got a couple hundred miles on them so far,it seems odd that this would just pop up now.

It's possible the tire is defective, you should have it looked at by the place that mounted the tire for you.

Look at the tire, there should be concentric rings around the tire near the bead, they are there to help you determine if the beads seated correctly. The rings should be equal distance from the rim all of the way around. If they are not equal, the tire needs to be remounted.

I wanted to report back on the tire problem I had. Tkent2 was correct, the tire was not properly installed. The concentric rings were too far down under the lip of the rim on one spot. Once that was corrected things were immediately better. There wasn't a problem with the tire at all. Also note, I emailed Shinko directly and got an immediate response. They were prepared to comp a new tire to me if the problem proved to be a defective tire, no if's ands or buts. I was amazed to see such great product support. Thanks to everyone who took the time to answer, much appreciated here. I will be riding tomorrow thanks to you guys.
