A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I was in Germany a week ago and walked by this little number every day. The side cover says "GSX 750, Pure Motorcycle Concept". I guess one of the many European standard models that we never see in North America. The Googles lead me to believe it's commonly called the GSX 750 Inazuma. Looks to have a Bandit engine? Couldn't begin to guess what year it might be.

You should have smuggled that baby back with you. What a purposeful looking machine.

Spotted this baby at a Lowes store in Springfield Illinois a few days ago. I assume they worked at the store since it was parked so far back in the lot.in sfil 9-26-15.jpg

Got an email today from a Stephen, saying he had heard at the bmw shop that I had a few GS bikes. And wondered if he could come by and see my bikes as he had gotten an 82 1100e this past summer.
I told him where I lived and he came by today. Bike needs a little work but it has only 20,000kms (12,000 miles) on it. And had sat for 16 years.
I told him to join here and he said he would so I will let him tell his story about how he got the bike. It's a touching one for sure.
Great to see another GS back on the road!

Same ,,but different,,lol

Seen this earlier this year but never thought to post it.
Mine is on the ground. Only time it would be on a trailer,,, stolen or broke!!
No, not the best pics but get over it.

Haa. Interesting.
Apparently you were traveling down the road, saw the bike on trailer in parking lot, and stopped for better look... and pictures.
Interesting the similarity in fairing and trunk and bags and such.
Maybe can say "period correct" from the same period.

Exactly what happened, even went for a coffee to see if the owner would show,, didn't.

a gs1000sz Katana flashed by me going the opposite way two days ago. I haven't seen one of those since my brother traded his in for GS1150eF back in 1984.

Saw a GS of some sort in Englishtown today riding with a Harley, but didn't get a good look.
The back was bobbed with a single taillight, no signals.
My first thought was Gordinho 80, a local memder, but again, I didn't get a good look.

GS850G Dan Grands Rapids

GS850G Dan Grands Rapids

Was walking around looking at the hundreds of bikes at Grand Rapids Summer Blues (Tommy Castro last night).

Saw this 850G come in, two up.
I was thinking 80 or 81. And he parked it right where I was standing, so, I should chat with him, eh. (Too bad my son was not there to call me a dork.)
He said is an 81 that he has had since new in 82. And the Rifle fairing has been on it most of time since then.
Also said something about being involved (not too specific as to how) with the dealership that was the Suzuki dealer at that time.
I think he said his name was Dan (but my memory is suspect).

He said he was familiar with GSR, and consented to a photo to post.
(His wife was about to walk away with the dinner they had brought in, so we didn't chat much more.)

Mrs. Steve and I were on our way to Mr. FoxyBLankworthy's wedding this afternoon.
At a light, the driver in the car next to us honked his horn to get our attention.
When we looked over, he pointed to our bikes and asked "What year?"
I responded "Hers is an '82, mine is an '80." His reply: "Very nice." :encouragement:

Times like that make our efforts worth it.
