A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

GS1000S Rendering

ditto... this would make a great stable mate to the Z900 in the shed!

It's sure been making the rounds on facebook. Yep...I have a cheque waiting too. :)

I like most of it. That trumpet exhaust looks really silly. Suzuki hasn't designed a good looking sport exhaust in a decade.
A stainless dual exhaust would sell me. Is it impossible to sell a dual exhaust nowadays?

What is that part that looks like a rifle scabbard, angled down the side? Nope exhaust is too modern looking. I still can't like the empty space between the rear tire & the seat. For me a dummy shock would make it look a lot better.

It might be. There's probably a catalytic converter under there that can't be routed around easily. Anyhow, Suzuki isn't likely to make a component that expensive for relatively low volume. Hopefully they would prove me wrong for a thing like this though. That looks good. Anyhow, I don't mind the exhaust on it. And it's only a render. How many of the original S were converted to 4->1?

Anyhow, the engine should be sliver, and what exhaust there is shouldn't be black.

So yeah, I like it. I wonder if I can hang some GK luggage on it. Color matched, like Simon did.

That's a big chunk of frame.

A retro looking Yosh slip-on would get rid of the muffler. I'm assuming thats a euro-spec muffler? All brands seem to have that hideous style.

I REALLY like that. Let's be real here, the U.S. model will have a MUCH more hideous muffler than that on it, LOL. Slip-on replacement for sure. If they really do this, they should bring back the skunk too. In all of the vintage color schemes too...

That space is easily filled by a couple of boards just waiting for a bogus race number on them.
Alternatively, they could be used to keep throw-overs from tangling the wheel.

I like it, too. I would paint the front fender more like the original scheme was..blue with the the white center stripe...but the rest of the body work looks good. I also like the blacked out wheels and engine. Hmm..wonder why..:D

I've never been a fan of nostalgia - it's not what it used to be.... but the top half of this is a better effort than any other remake I can think of. It looks clean and purposeful. I can understand the challenges on the bottom half, it's a damn sight better looking than most any new Japanese bike I can think of.

You trend setting fool you.
Larry, you should sue them for copyright infringement.

Haha hey I told my wife I'm just restoring the GS to save money, because when this GS gets moving I can sell the Ducati. I paid only $150 more for the whole GS than the valve adjustment and timing belt replacement on the Multi cost me.

Yeah. Could you point out the radiator on that bike you're rebuilding? :p :p

Or at least offer an SLE model ( Signed Larry Edition ).

Edit: I like the bike. However, as someone who has owned many 900 and 1100F's, I remember telling myself that I would buy that retro 1100F that came out...I didn't as it did not impress when I went to look at one. I will add that this one is a bit more true to it's tribute mark.

Did I miss the retro 1100F, or is that what I thought was a retro CB1100. That one must have impressed very few, left-overs everywhere for yrs.

That's the one, it was available in red or black. Early on it was touted as a Retro F.
