I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

GS750 Big bore kit

I know nothing about the quality of the kit, but make sure you get the right one.

There are several 750 kits listed on that page.

.

To me, that's exactly where I would start if I were looking for more power. You gain 68cc and 1.5 points in compression ratio. That should be a significant power boost on it's own. Don't forget to add in the price of boring your cylinders and the new gaskets. It's totally worth it.

For all that time effort and money just sell the 750 and put in a 1100.....done!

I would rather keep my 750. Sentimental I guess....but to raise it to 881cc's would be nice! Add a set of rs34's and that should give me plenty of power.

Sorry I thought it was 818 and typed it in backwards. Please excuse my dyslexia. Glad your here to correct me though!

Excuse the Noobness, but
for a 7/11

Is a 7/11 slang for a 750 bike with an 1100 engine transplant?
Just trying to learn the lingo, thanks

Heh, heh... I may have been born at night, just not last night.

Posplayr, I like the 1100 you have in your red bike but its the only one I like. All of the other ones I see have those round chrome caps on the heads. (cam caps?) Just dont like the way they look. Ive been looking on here for an 1100 but havent found one yet. Ideally, if i stuck with my 750, I wouls like the bb kit with a set of rs34's, and maybe kent cams. Thats what my plan is now. There seems to be alot of stuff out there for the 1100 though, thats why I started looking.

From the part numbers, looks like these are Wiesco kits, so quality would be excellent. Ray

If you have an 83 750, the 1100 motor swap is NOT easy. An oil cooled GSXR motor swap is easier into that chassis. Ray.

IMHO I would not bother for a 66cc gain.

I did my '77 GS750B out with the 850 wiseco kit, it was 100cc more and I do notice much more power and performance but the time and effort in doing this was just not something I would ever bother with again.

Just put your $$ into going for an engine transplant from something bigger :D

I have a friend who has transplanted an 1100 into his 650 Katana, along with upgraded front and rear suspension and brakes, now THAT is something that is SCAREY!

He keeps up with all the new bikes and has had the transplant working for 6 years now with no problems or mechanical breakages!!

What GSXR engine? I would guess something up to 91. I think that was the last year for the oil cooled 750's. What kind of work are we talking for a swap? I was thinking of just rebuilding my engine and like I said earlier, getting a set of kent cams.

You're talking about dropping $1,000 - $1,500 for the upgrades you've mentioned

It would be much cheaper just to buy an 1100 and sell your 750. Or transplant an engine

Not much difference between a 750n and 1100 in that vintage, size wise (about 20 lbs)
