A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

No problem, I didn't really say, anyway that looks like a British plate on there (I think) and my slasto (crazy paving to you) would never look such a mess.;)
Unfortunately I have never really done the camera thing, so have very little if nothing in the way of pics of my life before I bought my little digital when my son was born 6 years ago.
Probably better too, I was put together for radio.

That paint scheme is incredible. I totally agree with Hoosier Daddy. I would love for my 850G to look like that

Indeed. And I do have a spare set of body work. Now if only school would just pause for a bit so I could get around to making it look nice!

Thats a mighty fine looking paint scheme ! Now you just HAVE TO have it ;)

That link I posted - if they don't have the exact replica I am sure they can whip it up as the dimensions would be the same as on the blue scheme they have (that I have on my bike). I think the cost was around NZ$150 for the lot but well worth it in imo as very good quality and a perfect fit - and as you say it's a very rare scheme so totally stands out.

Good luck!

No, no Pete, you don't understand...you going to do it, what was that shipping address again?????:D

Hahahahahaha you're such a funny man Stan! Hahahaha

I hear candy pink is on special locally I could do you a real deal on ;)

This has my vote as well!

Pete, PM me your shipping address as well. I need it so I can ship you a decent gun to paint Jennifer's new clothes with!

Sure thing Dale, ship away... hahaha I'm sure Stan will love a nice pink paint job and I can even chuck some bonus cat fluff into the clear coat too!

Oi, you, the only reason you not getting them dumped in your lap, is that the shipping would be worth more than the bike. ;)

Hahaha you pair crack me up...

Stan if I can do what I did then you can do your own, and it will be a good job too :D

I also had a touch up guy here yesterday touching up some scrapes on my wife's car's bumper and he has an airless gun at home that he hasn't started using yet and apparently it's great for that sort of work as it forces just enough pressure through for the gun and job without the need for the compressor.

Could be the thing for your complex there... and by complex I'm referring to your housing complex, not any mental issues you may have developed from GSR membership :p

OK if I'm the voice of descent here?Sorry but I'm not a fan of that scheme.

Not throwing stones hard here. Not after doing mine yellow.Just my opinion, not worth $.002.If Stan likes it I have no problems with him going with it.

Don't worry Greg, I'm sure we all know ;)

And even though I'm not a fan of yellow, your paint job certainly turned out really well!

Cough-cough... I hear tell George is a bit closer than QLD. Cough... ;)

and Suzaan (sp?) makes great decals! ;)

Dale,
Her name is spelled Suzaene and pronounced as you spelled it. Stan can even send all the parts over! She had the Windjammer and tank in her office some time ago!

Stan,
It seems as if the pressure is now on you to finalize the scheme!;)

Well if we going that route... you don't have enough lines and they flow too nice with the body shape, I'd mix it up some.

 BWA-HA-HA!!!!

Psy, you are right, there are about 3 exact same schemes, just the colous were different, yes, most our 850's came in the silver base with blue decals, same pattern, should not be rocket scince for them just to change the colours.

I hear candy pink is on special locally I could do you a real deal on ;)

Pete, funny you should mention that, remember the pics on page one, at the start of this thread?

Although it never started that way, that is fading due to the sun, it was "supposed" to be candy red, here she is just after she was done....

Greg, its all good mate, no worries, I wonder about it too some times, like I said, sometimes I feel like I am so over black, I have had black bikes most my life, some days I just want a change, something brighter, I really like these two as well, especially the blue, notice the red one, same decal kit, just different base colour

Andre, don't you start, between you and Greg, you are going to make my therapist a very rich man......must focus, must focus, must focus........

Yeah HD, and don't forget the black stripes to set it off, hey. :p

Therapist? Who needs a therapist? You got a GS! :p

There are lots of other therapists here on the GSR also to encourage your disorder...

I vote for the blue. Thats what i'll probably do mine. Great progress on Jennifer btw.

Moto, strange you should say that, I was set on the blue for a long time myself, I do still like it, but she is going back to original...sort of.

Anyway, update time again, so jury, please take your seats.
Its been a while, but I have not been doing nothing, just nothing news or photo worthy, just been potting along doing little odds and sods, that all started to come together today.
I have bben on a mission to get some paint down, way ahead of schedule, thanks to Pete and his paint thread, so sanding and more sanding has been taking up most of my Sundays.
Also got the back wheel finished today after it had been standing half done for about 4 weeks.

Then between sanding and laying primer I put it all together, to keep myself occupied, and give the primer time to flash off.

Hub splines in and good quality new bearings, with metal seal both sides, and of course......Honda Moly Lube, all the way from Michigan, Many thanks Dale.

And of course Then I just had to, didn't I, seeing I got my new swingarm bearings in and the swing arm mounted yesterday, and I have been cleaning up my rear shocks,
