A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

The views expressed in this forum are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of "The GSResources" or the editors.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

LDComfort Dryline Shorts

I bought a pair of these at the Chicago Motorcycle Show today and while the weather doesn't permit a riding test I thought I would at least test the wicking properties of these shorts. I wore them for my brisk 45 minute daily dog walk. My normal undergarment for these walks is wear cotton briefs. I usually work up enough of a sweat that the briefs are damp when I get home. Today I took a longer than usual walk and picked the pace up so I sweated more than usual. When I got home I checked the LDComfort shorts and, just like the demo at the show, I could feel dampness on the outside of the shorts but the inside was dry.

The shorts are comfortable to wear and have no seams in the seating area like bicycle shorts. I have worn bicycle shorts for motorcycling for years and always have some sort of hot spot due to seams on the bicycle shorts. So far I am impressed with the wicking capability of the dual layer fabric used in these shorts and look forward to trying them on long rides. Here is a link to their website. Check out their videos and testimonials for some good info.

Thanks,
Joe

Errrrrrrrrrmmm...

I don't mean to be indelicate, but...

What's that rectangular bit in the front? A money pouch?

You put your weed in there.......................

Actually, it is a flap to facilitate biological functions. It works very well.....

Thanks,
Joe

But if it wickes, why do you need the flap? :D

Those would actually be quite nice under some riding pants.

Don't encourage him Bruce, when he only had bicycle type shorts Joe tended to drop trow whenever anyone asked about how he liked them. You just can't scrape imagery like that off the back of your retinas although we have tried. :hand: :-#

In my ongoing efforts to be more like Joe Nardy, (if that is even possible), I have acquired a pair of said LDComfort Dryline Shorts.

At this time I have not tried them yet, but I will say that delivery was very quick and they appear to very well made.
I will give them a full workout at the upcoming Fennimore rally and report back...:)

SSB, does this mean both you and Joe are going to drop trow in gas station parking lots to demonstrate the functionality and selling points of the LD Comfort shorts for the group? :p :-&

I guess it could be worse, at least you guys aren't going "Commando". :-\\\

As long as they're not see-through like the Bohn armor shorts.

Gawd, all that smooshed leg hair... horrible, horrible.

I have been wearing dry-tech fabric shorts and shirts all summer. I'm a cheap ass however and have been wearing "Starter" brand version of them I bought for $10 each piece at Wally world. Quite comfy and the shirts are fantastic inthe heat. You sweat a little, once you move at all it's instantly air conditioned. I wear a t shirt over top, and the wicking action will soak the t shirt making the AC effect more substantial. Frankly, I won't wear anything but at this point.

And so you guys know, that front pocket is where "well endowed" individuals like Joe and myself tuck the bit of us that hangs out PASSED the leg of the shorts. :D

So, that thing that hangs out your shorts is a microscope handle? Now you'll have a little scratch proof storage case for the lens....:-\\\
