    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

that explains how tight of a fitment it is i never measured i got a really good deal on everything couldn't pass it up

Bike looks great. There are oil cooled engine mount templates floating around between here and the oldskoolsuzuki site.
 
If its a 5.5" a 160 tire is too narrow and would be warped, 150-160 is normal on a 4.5" wheel. I have a 5.5" on my Bandit1200 and the standard tire on that wheel is a 180 which is way too wide for the GS1100 swingarm.

If you are using a 160 then thats great news for me, then I will go ahead and get a 4.5" B6 or SV650 wheel, they come standard with a 160 section rear tire. :)

I'm pretty sure the GSXR WHEEL I'm using is 4.5
its a very close fit
the only issues were
the large Axel in rear had to modify the drop outs and figureing out what chain to run

I'd like to see how you have air moving through the area to cool. Neatly tucked in there is good. Nice build with very nice components!
 

the really tiny circle near the rear tail light is the proximity sensor for the M lock

16 47 i made a custom spacer for the 520 front sprocket with a cnc
enjoy more to come

i should finish the kick stand this weekend just needs powder coated but my wife just gave birth to our second baby so progress has slowed a little bike

Looks Great! Do you remember the thickness of the spacer for the front sprocket?

As you can see it has the same dimensions as the gs750:

This is not to be picky, but as people are searching the forum (like I do) to gather info before they shop for new parts, it's better that the info is correct.
When that is said, I love your bike, and I'm reassured now that I won't be having problems with fitting my 150 tyre on a 4.25inch rim with the 520 chain I've ordered :)

I ran a 170 Michelin Pilot Power on a 5.5" GSXR rear on my 750 Special. It was the thinnest tyre that would fit.

Way less hassle to use a 4.5" and a 150/160.

The Vstrom has a 17" x 4.5" wheel I believe.

Rode this finally for the first time I never rode it before
so I hope this wasn't an issue prior
bike won't shift
wel it's VERY hard to shift it
I was so bummed
it's FASTTTTT FASSSSST so dang fast
runs amazing
but heck won't shift
I encpected clutch found
the clutch packs are perfect in spec but springs are allll out of limit I plan on replacing them ASAP but Tuesday
not sure why it won't shift though
 


hate that my tank leaked right where pet cock is after the fresh paint job
happens though i coated the inside with red KOTE worked awesome
my garage is a mess don't judge me I'm a busy man
this is just funny honda hose clamp haha
 
Currently took clutch out
can't figure out why it's so hard to shift
 
Subframe is built wrong. Not enough clearance at full compression. Tire is gonna rub. Dangerous at high speed and in corners.
