I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I noticed looking for Suzuki forums that the GSX1100G is like, the red headed step child of Suzuki. 

It doesn't really fit in perfectly anywhere lol. .......
.................

You are perfectly welcome here.
Lots of knolodgeable folks here that are wiling to help. But will only be a few that have specific expereince with the 90s GSX G.
None of the 80s GSs are watercooled for example. Some folks here have lots of expereince with lots of bikes.

.

You will find more than enough help and knowledge here for that monster. There are plenty of people here that have had, and have them. It really is just a cross between a GS, and a GSXR. Plenty of us here have GSXR's and know that engine quite well.

To bad about that tank. Rough repair, and even harder to find a replacement. You will be forced to scour the Fleabay for one. But, good luck with that. She's still a beaut...

Thanks! I've been browsing the Facebook links and already learned a lot! Luckily if I can't find a reasonably priced tank, I have a friend who does body work professionally. I'm sure he'd be happy to help 😊

That tank would make a professional dentmaster blink. Then he'd just get on with it and sort it. The work some of them can do is amazing.

Lol that's exactly how my body guy reacted! He said wow that's a nasty one. Bring it in anytime! 🤣

I see Mick Jagger's lips, did he kiss it?

I had a perfect reply for that, but it's not exactly appropriate so I'll keep it to myself!

I was just thinking since most of you guys have a list bikes in your sigs, I forgot about my GPZ. The GSX reminds me a lot of my first bike, which was a Kawasaki GPZ 550 (terrible first bike!) But yeah, they rode really similar, except the GPZ wasn't so stupid fast, and ergonomically it wasn't comfortable for me. I wrecked it, surprise surprise, lol. In my defense that was like, 20 years ago and that rock should not have been where it was lol.

I'm pretty sure I'm lucky I had just bought a 3 pound carbon fiber helmet, or I'd have broken my neck on the test ride lol.

One more picture, my bike and I. I made a different thread about my "license plate" lol, if anyone is interested in my lame level of creativity.

PS: I don't live here, I just had a person convenient to take a picture for me because I just delivered her supplies lol.

I know this doesn't really belong here, but it's the reason I bought this Suzuki. My Yamaha wouldn't start, and we all pretty much thought it was the starter clutch. Nope, just the starter! Oops. So, we jumped the gun a bit, but we're still keeping the GSX-G for sure! Can't have too many bikes, right? 😉

That's a really nice looking Yam you have there. You should keep it. One day these classics will be really hard to find in good condition. I am "sorta" looking for a 450(ish) to add to the stable. The wife likes to ride once in a while, but the 650L is just a bit too heavy for her to enjoy.

And no... There is no such thing as too many bikes as long as they FIT in the garage. And even then, you don't have too many, you just don't have enough space...

... but can have too many batterys and can have too many insurance policys
.

LOL someone has been seeing my facebook feed......

I disagree, "I have too many", I know I do. Too many batt., too much ins., too many license plates, too little space, but I like all of them & don't want to get rid of any of them. Is this a sickness???

Yes, it is a sickness! I'm about to put 3 or 4 of mine on the market. I want to get back to spending more time riding and less time wrenching! Restorations are fun, but from now on, in the wintertime only!

Let's see, Harley...Go, Yamay...Go, Honda Ascot, if were a VT500, worth keeping, but a FT500...Go. & keep the other 3. Dang that's an easy decision. Mine are different, I don't want to see none of them go.

The Honda... GO!

Thanks for your suggestions, but not even close on which ones will be up for sale!

Sorry, I just forgot to put in there, "Just my opinion" from the info I had. Your GS750 has got to be great, BOTM, I'm partial to GS1000's, I've had 5 of them over the yrs., & the GS550 has got to be a great project & it does have enough,,,(4),,, cyl., unlike the other 3. Naw man, just poking at ya. I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem for you to weed mine down either..

Hey Sarah, I'm not no where near you, Norene TN., bout 40 mi. E. of Nashville. I just looked up where my bike came from, Berne, Indiana, got it back in Dec. 2015. All day & half the night to get there & back. There's a back rest & luggage rack out there, that bolts right on at the rear of the seat where the little oem handle is now. no brackets or anything just remove the handle & bolt on the rack. I tried to find a brand or label on mine, but nothing there. The way it fits, it kind'f looks like it could have been an option from Suzuki, but probably not. Several of the GSX1100G's I've seen for sale has this rack on them. Also mine, as well as my riding buddy's has a Spit Fire windshield. Nothing like a full fairing, but does knock off the wind. Good Luck
