DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I am flying to Manchester New Hampshire next Wednesday to pick up Jethro's 1983 GS1100E. \\:D/

Leaving there, I will ride to South Portland Maine to visit some family for a couple of days.

The weekend of October 20 and 21 will be my longest weekend of riding (should come in at just about 1000 miles) as I make my way back to Kentucky.

I will post up as I can. ..

Keeping my fingers crossed for the weather for you!

Nice Score Mike, Hope You have a Great Ride Home!:-D

Thanks Scott ..

I meant to ask Jethro if he would zip tie the kickstand up to the frame so that I won't be able to take off with it down.

Your getting yourself a sweet bike!

I have been begging him to sell it to me for quite a while now, unfortunately some transmission work on my civic basically tied up the funds.

You have no idea how jealous I am right now!

Enjoy The ride, you have the perfect time of year for this area, nice brisk mornings to wake you up, then nice afternoons to pile on the miles in comfort!

You're going to love that bike. Now we know who the the buyer is. Jethro was a little secretive at first.

Maybe we can still hook up for a beer or whatever when you get to Maine.

Jethro was very helpful today and it was a pleasure doing business with him.

I had a wonderful ride up the coast this afternoon.

After a couple of days visiting my sister's family, will be heading out for the (almost) 1000 mile ride home this weekend.

I think that I am going to like this bike very much.

Nice pics of Nubble Light. Made a few dives there over the years. Have a safe trip home!

Very nice pics. I am already regretting letting that bike go, but on the bright side, I put a wrench on the 81 for the first time in over two years. Next spring I hope to have it back in action. Have a safe trip buddy!

I can certainly see how you would miss it.

I hope to take good care of it and give it plenty of use.

That is what these old GSs like best if I understand it right!

Great shots Mike. You got a good week to be here. I took a ride along the coast Tuesday and it was wonderful. Hopefully we can hook up for a drink or a bite or whatever while you're here.

Hey Geoff, you going to keep it stock or what? I'm thinking of putting pods on my 550. It already has a V&H exhaust, so I need to do something to fix the jetting issues.

Probably gonna keep it stock. Certainly stock intake and exhaust, since I have those fresh, never been used, stock chrome pipes. And they only add 63 lbs to the bike!8-[

Maine is a great place. I have taken many rides along the coast. Rockland is also a nice area and also bar harbor. To bad I am in PA right now or I would be on the road.

jealous on two counts -
Maine.
Bike.
That order.
Not KY tho. (No offense)
