A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

Your album is empty.

I hope you know how to do more than hacksaw and duct-tape things, but judging from your avatar... :-\\\

Punctuation is your (and the reader's) friend.

Yep. Hacksaw, angle grinder, can of spray paint, a BFH, and duct tape...

The logos came out well, though.

Please read the forum rules concerning name-calling.

Again, welcome to the forum.

There is a ton of knowledge on this forum in regards to making these bikes run to their peak ability. That tends to bring along the crowd that doesn't tend to enjoy the more custom jobs. The arguement usually hovering over the idea that more time and trouble was spent on looks and less on performance, and in some cases mods making performance worse. The idea of a cafe used to be performance only, but they looked cool, so now it's a style. Looks like you are on the right path with getting it to look how you want, if you take your time to get the bike up to speed, bikecliff' website is a great place to start, you could have a really fast AND cool bike. New o-rings for the carbs, a dynojet kit for the carbs to get that baby enough fuel to account for the pods and headers. These bikes tend to like to have at least some back pressure, so a proper muffler of some type is not a bad idea. If you haven't, check and replace valve shims. It's an old bike, it probably needs to be caught up on regular maintenance. These guys can be rough, but not all are as rude as JJ was. To be fair though, a lot of clowns do find their way through here. I for one should know how self-righteous some of these guys can be, I own an "L" model and a chopped up brat. Both run great, as soon as I worked through the demons. For some of these guys though, I am the devil for cutting a 78 750e and an idiot for loving my L. Welcome man, good luck and keep the rubber side down.

thanks chuck i aprricate that welcome and the tips i have put alot of work into this thing and im no where near done i have alot to go!! i did do my research on the jets and putting my mac 2into1 on has gotten half of that done still thinking of goin with a 120 main jet also the headers where just for fun until i got the pipes in the mail!!! i do need a full rebuild on the carbs but i did the best i could low budget and soaked em cleaned and synced em. unpon getting her running i realized that my charging system needed a revamp so i just replaced the rectifier and stator with ricks. charges great then found out a have a dead cylinder on left side so that is my next without buying a new set of coils i think i can make it work with breakin the exposy on the coil and get a new wire and boot. also the seat came out good fiberglass resin and a bit of bondo the macs sounds great i love this thing the more i replace play with the more ideas i get like some old wrenches for highway pegs and timimg gears for the swing arm bolt covers lol ill post more and ask as many complicated questions i can but for now im workin too much to do more. thanks again for the reply i appriciate the advice

Welcome, but as JJ said, punctuate and capitalize here at the least, please. The wordwall you just threw up is hard to read.
