A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic from a bought in boxes build. It's runnning well, so now I can focus on the bling and the fine tuning as soon as I can decide on a paint scheme. For now red will always work! 2004-01-01_02-25-41.jpg

Nice!
Bandit front end?
I think making the indents white would be a good look

Thanks guys, it's still a work in progress. I've got a 1100 tank on it now, but I'm going back to the E tank.
It's a Honda CBR front end and wheels. Saved 50 poinds between the wheels and tires over stock.
I'm still struggling with the paint scheme. A lot of people have done the white on red, I want something more original. I've got a great idea I like I'm going to paint up when spring paingint season comes.

Joe, You know a lot more about computers than me, but a lady I us'ta work with had something on her computer where she could put a picture of your car or bike on her computer then paint it in whatever color or scheme you thought you wanted, you could see what it was go'na to look like, and adjust colors and scheme till you saw exactly what you wanted...

i would love to know how to do that!!

Or maybe a copper...

I'm a real man so not opposed to the pink in principle, but I do like the copper better ! lol I want a 2 stage with a silver metalic under the top color. It's the stripes scheme I'm struggling with. I want something that hints of an original idea, but is more modern at the same time. Although the stripping in the traditional looks good on the copper version!

I think Posplayr did something similar with his paint... I remember it being a 2 stage metallic at least. Not sure if his build is still on here. It was an 1100E though.

I think Renobruce had a silver metallic in with his black on a skunk... it made it look somewhat purple in strong sunlight at the right angle though. :)

Suzukis 1985 / 1986 colors were beautiful. Pearl red on pearl white or candy alpine blue on pearl white.
A bit off topic, but I'd love to see someone do a 1000s in the 1985 blue / white combo.

My wife and I had a pair of GS's, her's an "85" GS550E and my "85" GS1150E. Both were Pearl Cool White and Candy Alpine Blue... For me, that paint was virtually the best thing about both of those bikes... Really beautiful... OOhhh, An "S", in those colors would beautiful, though not an "S".

I would like to use new Suzuki colors so I'll look in to those years. I've been looking for a blue. I've got an idea for a blue and white and yellow, which was an mid 2000 theme. I also want to paint onr red, white and blue.
